Teenage Melania Trump shows striking resemblance to son Barron in resurfaced rare photos

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Rare teenage photos of Melania Trump, which show a striking resemblance to her 18-year-old son, Barron Trump, recently resurfaced on social media. 

The black-and-white images, originally shared by Slovenian photographer Stane Jerko with Today in 2017, have captured the Internet's attention.

President Donald Trump has also commented on the striking similarity, pointing out that Barron, now taller than his father, clearly shares many features with his mother, a resemblance he discussed in a past interview.

The Slovenian-born first lady, who started her modeling career at 16, looked fresh-faced and youthful in her teenage years.

In photos shared with Today, a makeup-free 16-year-old Melania was seen dressed simply in jeans and a white top or a white bandeau and skirt. Her features were softer, her face rounder, and her eyebrows more pronounced at the time.

These vintage images highlight a stark contrast to the polished look Melania is often seen with today, whether at events like the Republican National Convention or in the White House, where she’s typically photographed with styled hair, professional makeup, and structured dresses paired with designer shoes.

In addition to these, the early pictures reveal a striking resemblance to her teenage son, Barron, a freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business. 

Barron, who towers over his father with a height of 6 ft 7 in, maintains a slim figure, which contrasts with the president-elect's build. He shares Melania's brown hair, thick eyebrows, and a light, airy hairstyle.

Melania continued her modeling career before relocating to New York in 1996. She and the real estate mogul first met at a New York Fashion Week party in 1998. 

He pooped the question to Melania while attending the 2004 Met Gala, and the two tied the knot in January 2005. In March 2006, they welcomed their only child together, Barron.

In a 2006 interview, Donald Trump mentioned that his son, Barron Trump, resembles his mother, Melania Trump, saying, "He looks more like Melania. He's like her in temperament. Very calm."

Melania shared her thoughts on having only one child during an appearance on 'Fox and Friends'.

She revealed that while Donald wanted to have more children, she was content with just their son.

During the interview, she discussed her role within the family, stating, "I know how busy he is and I'm in charge of everything." She explained that her decision not to have more children was influenced by Donald's lack of involvement in parenting duties.
