TEHRAN, IRAN: Iran’s elite military force, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has issued a highly critical public statement scoffing at President Donald Trump’s firm insistence on securing a finalized regional peace accord today.

In an official briefing broadcast on Telegram, the IRGC explicitly denied reports of an imminent bilateral breakthrough and accused the president of trying to force an artificial, uncoordinated timeline onto the complex diplomatic process simply to serve his own domestic publicity goals.

The sharp personal challenge injects considerable friction into backchannel negotiations, arriving precisely on Trump's milestone 80th birthday.

The White House has heavily leaned on its ongoing naval operations to push for an immediate diplomatic resolution to the 100-day war, but Iranian officials claim the administration's deadline has no basis in ongoing technical talks.

The IRGC asserted that Trump's intense pressure represents an unusual insistence that runs completely contrary to the direct warnings of Tehran's active negotiating team.

Military leaders reject rushed treaty timeline

According to the unedited Iranian statement, senior negotiators explicitly told their American counterparts that the underlying memorandum of understanding has not yet been finalized.

The military command characterized the administration's sudden public declarations as a deliberate test designed to break the resolve of Iran's diplomatic representatives.

"Signing on Sunday is definitely not happening," the group stated, rejecting any premature policy concessions.

Regional observers noted that by shifting the focus from structural compliance to Trump's personal timeline, the Iranian leadership intends to stall the momentum of the White House's economic leverage while reasserting sovereign control over the pacing of the talks.

White House lawn remade for celebration

The Iranian pushback lands as Washington prepares for a massive, highly controversial birthday celebration at the executive mansion.

Trump has turned the historic South Lawn into a $60 million professional sports coliseum to host a special Ultimate Fighting Championship event on Sunday evening, complete with a massive 92-foot steel structure nicknamed "the Claw" encircling a full fighting octagon.

While the administration has publicly billed the massive weekend event as an official celebration of the nation's upcoming America250 bicentennial milestones, the IRGC argued that Trump's parallel demand for a high-profile diplomatic signing was explicitly engineered to serve as a symbolic crown jewel for his personal celebrations.

With the combat arena already constructed and the diplomatic channels effectively paralyzed by the public personality clash, the likelihood of a swift regional settlement before Monday morning has entirely dissolved.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps flatly rejects the White House timeline, accusing the executive of manufacturing a symbolic public relations spectacle.
