WASHINGTON, DC: In a fiery radio interview on Wednesday, May 22, former President Donald Trump launched a verbal attack on President Joe Biden, questioning his mental fitness and speculating that Biden might not be running for re-election in 2024.

Speaking on the 'Cats & Cosby Show' on WABC 770 AM with hosts John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby, Trump reiterated his frequent criticism of Biden’s mental state, suggesting that other members of Biden’s administration were involved in decision-making on his behalf, as per The Hill.

Trump cast doubt on whether Joe Biden will even be running in 2024 election

During the interview, Catsimatidis expressed confusion over Biden’s globalist foreign policy perspective, to which Trump responded, "He doesn’t understand it either." Trump described Biden's advisers as "a bunch of Marxists, a bunch of fascists," who aim to break up America while keeping their jobs.

Trump asserted, "He has no clue, he doesn’t, if you look at him, he doesn’t know where he is. You know that, I know that, everybody knows that."

Doubling down on his long-standing criticism of Biden's cognitive abilities, Trump went a step further, casting doubt on whether the incumbent would even run for re-election. "And I doubt he will even be running frankly, I just can't even imagine it," the former president added.

The Biden campaign, in recent weeks, has escalated its counterattacks on Trump, focusing on his mental and physical fitness. Over the weekend, Biden's team shared a video appearing to show Trump freezing mid-speech, which he refuted as a "fake story."

Biden's camp also highlighted a moment when Trump stumbled while leaning on a podium, prompting him to claim he had stopped the podium from falling with his "good reflexes and strength."

In a Truth Social post on Sunday, May 19, Trump fired back, writing, "JOE BIDEN IS NOT TOO OLD TO BE PRESIDENT – NOT EVEN CLOSE – BUT HE IS TOO INCOMPETENT AND CORRUPT!"

The tit-for-tat attacks on mental fitness have become a recurring theme in the buildup to the 2024 election, with both sides accusing the other of cognitive decline and questioning their capability to lead the nation.

Trump's recent comments about Joe Biden draw flak online

The internet was quick to roast Trump for his recent comments about Biden.

"Trump's moral acuity is the main concern in this election," one Facebook user said, while another remarked, "Pretty funny coming from the orange guy that blanked out in the middle of a rally. Everyone should go watch that NRA clip. He totally lost it."

A user wrote, "Either Trump is also experiencing cognitive decline or he's just never been very bright or articulate." Another user predicted, "Trump won't even show up to the debates. He's already making excuses."

Others took the opportunity to question Trump's own fitness for office, with one user writing, "Says the guy who might be a convicted felon by the end of next week."

Another commented, "Trump is a disgusting, terrified blob who's drowning in fear. He's obviously insane."

"Projection, Trump is the one having issues with slurred speech and brain glitches," wrote a user. Another summed up the mood, writing, "Trump can't even put 2 sentences together now he's the one who might not make it to November."
