KANSAS, MISSOURI: Willie Gay was dubbed as an 'MVP of the day' as Kansas City Chiefs celebrated Super Bowl win with the Kansas parade on Wednesday, February 14.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and other team members made their way through the streets of Kansas City.

Chiefs player Willie Gay took things to a different level

Everyone celebrated differently, but Chiefs player Willie Gay took things to a different level on Wednesday, February 14, to the amusement of the NFL.

NFL posted a video of Gay running down the middle of the street shirtless as crowds looked on.

"Willie Gay running shirtless through the streets of KC @WillieGayJr," the league captioned the video.

Willie did not only go shirtless but danced and even hopped on a car to give fans a better view of his vibe. He even lay on asphalt, his shoes by his side.

He was also pictured lying on a street with a bottle of Hennessy. At one point, Gay gave a news channel lying on his side on the road shoeless telling the news anchor, "We own Vegas babe..."

Fans react to Willie Gay's wild celebrations

There were several reactions to Willie Gay's performance during the parade. One joked on X, saying "My man lost his damn shoes."

Another user wrote, "Everyone laughed when Willie Gay performed," with one more joking, Willie Gay, "Truly lives up to his last name."

Dru Tranquill, who signed with the Chiefs in March 2023 after four seasons with the Chargers, wore ski goggles and celebrated his arrival to Kansas City.

"This is way better than LA," Tranquill said on the KSHB broadcast, adding "Oh my God, let me tell you. Look at these fans, you don’t see this happening in LA."

Several Chiefs players, safety Justin Reid, and tight end Travis Kelce had wrestling-style championship belts hooked around their waists, USA Today noted.

Willie Gay has cemented himself as a legend in Chiefs' history

May fans continued to react to Willie Gay's parade performance saying he has cemented himself as a legend in Chiefs' history whether or not he plays again.

"Whether the Super Bowl was his final game with the Chiefs or not, Willie Gay has cemented himself as a legend in Chiefs history," wrote one.

Another added, "Nothing like a Super Bowl parade in Kansas City Flyovers. Swag Surfin, Willie Gay." "THANK YOU WILLIE GAY FOR THIS," wrote another user.

"They really should’ve had Young FLY perform with the team on the stage. Willie Gay would’ve made it worthwhile alone," wrote one more.
