PARIS, FRANCE: Zayn Malik has become known as the mysterious, quiet member of One Direction since he left the band in 2015.

While others have remained highly engaged with the public through their solo music careers, Malik has been selective about his public appearances, keeping media interactions and sightings to a minimum as he raises his young daughter outside the spotlight.

However, he briefly resurfaced from his private life on Friday, January 19, to attend Paris Fashion Week, marking his first major public outing in six years.

His last major public outing was in 2018 when he attended the Tom Ford show during New York Fashion Week alongside his then-girlfriend Gigi Hadid's brother, Anwar Hadid.

But things quickly took an unexpected turn when Malik had his foot run over by a car while leaving the Kenzo show, sparking alarm among his fans before the star confirmed he was unharmed, as reported by E! News.

What was meant to be a stylish night out took an unexpected turn when Malik had his foot run over by a car as he was leaving the Kenzo event.

Video footage circulating on social media captured the apparent mishap, showing Malik being shuffled through a crowd outside the event before visibly wincing as a nearby car maneuvers in the wrong direction, running over the singer's foot.

The singer appeared alarmed but composed himself quickly before being escorted by security.

Malik himself took to Instagram shortly after to confirm that his foot was "fine" and to thank his "incredibly well-made shoes" for protecting him. He proved his point with a photo of the white sneakers in question, which appeared merely scuffed with some dark tire tread marks despite the accident.

Soon after news of Malik getting into the minor accident surfaced online, netizens started to comment on the incident, with his fans showing concern. 

One humorously remarked, "This is why he never goes out. Zayn about to hibernate til 2025," while another added, "Great now he’s never coming back outside til 2030."

A person noted, "Bodyguards getting fired," and someone else expressed, "Security guard was too busy fighting people.. forgot about cars."
