LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift has ascended to billionaire status, according to a report by Forbes published Tuesday, April 2.

The music icon has achieved the milestone following the success of her ongoing Eras Tour, her real estate portfolio, and an extensive song catalog.

Inside Taylor Swift's billionaire status

Swift is the first musician to officially join the publication's billionaire list solely through music and live performances.

Since its launch in March 2023, the Eras Tour surpassed a staggering $1 billion in revenue.

The 34-year-old singer's Eras Tour concert film premiered on October 11, 2023, has also shattered records with over $261 million earned at the box office.

Swift's upcoming eleventh original studio album 'The Tortured Poets Department' slated for release on April 19 will likely continue to contribute to the increase in her earning.

Taylor Swift teases 'so many exciting things ahead of us' at iHeartRadio Music Awards

During Swift's pre-recorded acceptance speech at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards where Swift earned the Artist of the Year award, she teased "so many exciting things ahead of us."

"Hey! I wanted to say thank you so much to anyone who voted for this award," she said in the clip on Monday, April 1.

"iHeart, you've also just been so incredibly supportive over the course of my entire career, but especially this year has been pretty spectacular. I am so grateful for that."

 "You know, to the fans, it is completely up to you to choose how you spend your time, what concerts you want to go to, what music you want to make the soundtrack of your life," she continued.

"And to anyone who has included me in those choices, I am so, so, so thankful for that. We have so many exciting things ahead of us."

"I'm continuing on with the tour and, most importantly, I have a brand new album called 'The Tortured Poets Department' which comes out on April 19. I cannot wait to share it with you," she added.

Internet congratulates Taylor Swift as she joins the billionaire club

As Forbes reported Swift's official billionaire status, fans rallied to congratulate the 'Karma' singer on her achievement.

"That's so legendary," a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter) and another fan wrote, "Her impact and wealth is insane. Such a force."



 



 

"She's the best in what she does, only MJ or Drake can go head to head with her in terms of music and touring," a netizen opined.
