NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On May 16 episode of 'The Ingraham Angle', Fox News host Laura Ingraham offered words of wisdom to former President Donald Trump ahead of his upcoming debates with President Joe Biden, scheduled for June 27 on CNN and September 10 on ABC News.

Ingraham emphasized the importance of Trump maintaining his "calm", suggesting that his presidential demeanor is most evident when he remains calm.

Laura Ingraham advises Trump to 'stay calm' and 'let Biden rant'

Ingraham's advice comes as Trump prepares to face off against Biden, despite his ongoing legal battles and refusal to concede the 2020 election.

As per CBS News, the debate arrangements were swiftly finalized following the president's campaign announcement in a letter expressing his readiness to engage in two debates with his Republican rival before the November election.

“All Donald Trump has to do is stay calm during the entire debate and let Biden rant and rave, because Scranton Joe is sounding meaner and more petty by the day,” suggested Ingraham.

“And then Trump, by comparison, he easily appears presidential, cool, confident and, yeah, possessing a lot of common sense.”

“Just reassure everyone, even those suburban moms out there, that there are happier days ahead. Reassure the nation that the craziness, the wokeness, the unnecessary economic struggle, the perpetual war—that’s all going to be over,” she continued.

“And maybe toss out a few zingers. ‘Joe, you have been president for almost four years and all you can do is promise people more abortions while you’re wearing aviators? Wow,’” she added.

The host made these suggestions putting herself in the position of Trump, who has publicly celebrated his involvement in the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade, even as voters in several states have backed pro-choice ballot measures in referendums.

Who will moderate Biden-Trump 2024 debates?

The first debate will be moderated by CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash and will be Trump's first live participation on the network since the controversial CNN New Hampsire town hall event in May 2023.

During that town hall, he continued to push his claims of a stolen election and insulted moderator Kaitlan Collins, referring to her as "nasty."

Ingraham's suggestions didn't end there, elsewhere in the show, she also said, "For months, they tried to sell you a new "Comeback Kid" story…Today, we learned a few new things about the true state of the Biden campaign."

"The fact that they decided to abandon the usual debate format that they were demanding and take up Trump's call for earlier debates, that shows that they think they need a game-changer, and they hope that they will get it with the help of two CNN anchors, who we learned today will be the ones who are actually moderating the first debate. One believes that electing Trump would be anti-democratic," she continued,

The host then added, "The Biden team is nervous, and one of their go-to house media organs, Slate, is also sending up a signal flare, warning the Democrats can't keep rationalizing away one crucial element of the race — that Biden does better with people who are most likely to vote — because new polling shows that that's not true."

"This is my favorite part of all: "[I]f the question is, ‘How bad is this, really?’ the answer is, 'Pretty bad!'" she concluded.
