WASHINGTON, DC: Melania Trump has been slammed online as she launched medallions for Memorial Day.

The former first lady took to her Instagram on Thursday, May 23, to promote her new jewelry line The Fortitude Collection, which is about celebrating “our service members, our Nation, and our freedom,” as per the USA Memorabilia website.

The collection includes a gold-plated “Bravery” pendant for $175 and a stainless steel one for $125.

The same prices are set for “Liberty” pendants also. Besides, all the jewelry is of the same measurement — 1.1 inches and 3mm thick.

Last month, the 54-year-old unveiled $245 Mother's Day necklaces, which were ridiculed and criticized by former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham.

CNN's Erin Burnett reportedly asked Grisham, as per Raw Story, “Nothing on the website suggests that the money raised is going to charity or anything like that. Do you have any sense what she could be selling the jewelry for? Is this just money for herself? ...To raise money for the legal defense?”

To which, she replied, “I tried not to laugh at the thought that she would be raising money for his defense. That's not going to be it.”

Melania Trump’s effort called ‘cheap and tacky’

Meanwhile, people on the internet did not seem impressed with Melania’s new venture.

An Instagram user commented, “When will this disturbing family stop grifting?”

Another user wrote, “peddling more crap?”

One said, “The grift continues..give him all your money now🙄.”

“Fresh from the discount bin of the Liberace House of Crap,” another user stated.

“Always cheap and tacky. You don’t see Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton selling crap online. They’re actually contributing to society,” a user added.

A critic on X tweeted, “Melania is peddling cheap merch because MAGA suckers will buy anything.”

One X user remarked, “This is pathetic.”

“You trumps are pathetic. Constantly conning people out of their hard-earned money,” another alleged.

Another critic declared, “So sad and desperate. A grift at the expense of the same soldiers your husband called ‘suckers’ and ‘losers’? Clearly, there is no bottom to the Trump Grift machine.”

“I sure hope this is NOT a Trump attempt to make money off the backs of our brave patriotic servicemen and women,” a tweet read.

Melania Trump maintains her silence on hush money trial

Melania continues to keep her lips shut tight and did not attend the legal trial her husband faces in New York over business records forgery accusations.

It has been alleged that the former president paid $130,000 to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 elections in exchange for her silence about a sexual encounter between Trump and Daniels.

Though Trump has maintained his innocence, the star witness of the case, Michael Cohen, who was Trump's former lawyer and personal fixer, “confessed to larceny, admitting he stole $60,000 from his old boss.”
