Millie Bobby Brown excitedly shares significance and meaning of holidays

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Millie Bobby Brown’s is all prepped for the coming holidays!

During a promotional event, the actress mentioned, “My decorations go up before Halloween. Jake's very much against that, but who cares?”

Jake is not a holiday enthusiast like Millie

In discussing her holiday traditions with her fiance Bongiovi, the 19-year-old shared with People, "My tradition is, you have to open a gift, big or small, on Christmas Eve."

“Jake didn't do that. I introduced it to him and he kind of is still not on board with it, but I'm like, ‘You have to open it.’ And then he picks the biggest one and I'm like, of course you did. Christmas is my holiday. It's just where I thrive. I love the twinkly lights and the ornaments.”

Brown shared that one of the highlights of holidays is that it allows everyone to spend quality time with their loved ones.

“The holidays are about seeing family and spending time with your loved ones and being able to truly reflect and understand how grateful we are to live in a house that's put together. I just feel very, very grateful and lucky to be able to be under a roof with my family,” she added.

The couple celebrated Thanksgiving together this November 

In November, Jake and Millie celebrated their first Thanksgiving together as an engaged couple.

“I'm British, so I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but of course Jake's family are American, so they were able to introduce me to what a real American Thanksgiving looked like,” she told the outlet.

“Jake's mom's cooking was amazing, so I really got introduced to a really great Thanksgiving [with a] wonderful family.”

The teen actress earlier told Glamour that she met Jake during “a really…interesting time.”

Brown said, “I was so upset with myself and the decisions I had made."

Referring to the period when she was dating Hunter Ecimovic, a TikToker, she reflected on her past relationships, saying, "I think I was so afraid to be a strong woman in a relationship. Being attractive to men, I thought, meant not taking up too much space."

“When I met Jake. I just felt I could be loud. He embraced that and encouraged that. And I fell in love with myself while being with him," the young actress said.
