LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brandon "Bug" Hall, best known for playing Alfalfa in the 1994 film 'The Little Rascals', has turned to GoFundMe for financial support as he prepares to welcome his sixth child.

The former child actor shared that he and his family are facing financial difficulties after moving to a new property in rural Arkansas. The move has left them with several expenses to manage and unfinished work to complete before the baby arrives. Hall has been married to his wife, Jill, since 2017, and the couple already share five children.

Hall launched a GoFundMe campaign titled "Helping the Hall-Barnetts Finish Before Baby Six." The 41-year-old former actor explained that his family had managed to move onto their new land but still needed materials to make the property fully functional.

"It's now six years since I self-cancelled, and I have avoided doing one of these in all that time. I always said this was my choice, and so I didn't want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are," he shared.

He also revealed that the family had fallen behind on a few bills, including their phone service, propane for their camper and an unexpected electricity hookup fee.

“We're all overjoyed to be where we are, and we're even enjoying roughing it, but baby six is less than a month away, and I really need some help getting the last few things buttoned up beforehand,” he wrote.

Hall added that he hoped to complete the remaining work within two weeks so he could take up some employment before the baby arrived. He also acknowledged that many people were dealing with financial struggles of their own and said he was not more deserving of help than anyone else.

The actor further explained that he had avoided setting up a fundraiser for six years.

“I always said this was my choice, and so I didn't want to offload the glorious burden of it unless there was no other choice. Well here we are,” he wrote.

The campaign had already surpassed its original $2,000 goal.

He concluded, "Times are hard for everyone, and I'm no more deserving than anyone else, but I ask in your charity that you help where you can, whether monetarily, by sharing this, or by prayer and sacrifice for the Hall-Barnetts of the Holy Cross."

Brandon 'Bug' Hall stepped away from Hollywood to pursue a simpler life

Hall shared an update about his family's move to their new property in a post on X on October 30, 2026.

Hall rose to fame as Alfalfa in 'The Little Rascals' and later appeared in projects such as 'The Big Green' and 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves'. However, he gradually stepped away from acting and moved with his family to rural Arkansas.

Before stepping away from Hollywood in 2020, Hall appeared in films such as 'Hercules', 'The Big Green' and 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves', as well as several television shows, including 'Charmed' and 'CSI: Miami'.

The actor has since focused on building a life away from the entertainment industry. He and Jill are now preparing to welcome their sixth child as they work toward completing their new home.
