‘The Matrix’ is reportedly coming back to the screens for its fifth installment. The franchise's first film, directed by Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski, was released in 1999, starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Laurence Fishburne, among others. However, the upcoming movie’s director is reportedly Drew Goddard. It is as yet unconfirmed if Keanu Reevs will reprise his role in the new film. “The entire team at Warner Bros Discovery is thrilled for Drew to be making his new Matrix film, adding his vision to the cinematic canon the Wachowskis spent a quarter of a century building here at the studio,” Jesse Ehrman, Warner Bros Motion Pictures president of production, said without giving any details on the stars of the new film. 1. Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves was seen in the titular role of Neo in the last four ‘The Matrix’ films. Known for his versatile performances and good looks, the 59-year-old actor was also recently seen in ‘John Wick 4’, ‘Bill & Ted Face The Music’, and ‘The Matrix Resurrections’.
2. Carrie-Anne Moss
Carrie-Anne Moss was seen as Trinity in the film series. Her other recent notable works include ‘Accidental Texan’, ‘The Bye Bye Man’, and ‘Brain on Fire’.
3. Hugo Weaving
Hugo Weaving appeared in a negative role in ‘The Matrix’ series. He was seen as Agent Smith in the first three films but was absent from ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. He has also worked in films like ‘Captain America: First Avenger’, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’, and ‘Mortal Engines’.
4. Laurence Fishburne

Agent Johnson was played by Daniel Bernhardt in ‘The Matrix Reloaded’. He was also seen in films like ‘John Wick’, ‘Skylines’ and ‘The Librarians’.
6. Joe Pantoliano
Joe Pantoliano was Cypher in ‘The Matrix’ world. He was seen in the first three movies of the series. His other works include ‘The Sopranos’, ‘Memento’, and ‘Bad Boys for Life’.
7. Lambert Wilson
