‘The privilege?’: Jon Stewart shreds Trump for bizarre claim about turning down Epstein Island invitation

WASHINGTON, DC: As speculation around the Jeffrey Epstein files grows, Jon Stewart took aim at Donald Trump’s recent trip to Scotland and his evasive responses to media questions about Epstein during this week’s episode of 'The Daily Show'.
Stewart’s remarks followed Trump’s attempt to explain why he distanced himself from the disgraced financier while speaking to reporters in Scotland on Monday, July 28. Trump now finds himself at the center of renewed scrutiny over his past ties to Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal trafficking charges.

Jon Stewart kicked off The Daily Show with a sharp jab at Donald Trump’s recent trip to Scotland, joking that the president wasn’t just there to finalize an EU trade deal, he also needed to "put an ocean’s distance between himself and the Epstein scandal."
Stewart then played a clip of a Scottish reporter bluntly asking Trump, “Mr President, was part of the rush to get this deal done to knock the Jeffrey Epstein story out?”
Mocking Trump's surprise at the question, Stewart quipped, “He’s all like, ‘How did you even hear about… I thought you guys just got 'Baywatch' like three months ago?'”
He added sarcastically, “Doesn’t anybody here have a question about this trade deal sinking both of our economies with tariffs?”

Stewart then dissected Trump’s shifting defenses. One of Trump’s claims was that the Epstein files were managed by “the worst scum on Earth,” and that if incriminating evidence existed, it would have already been released.
Stewart summarized Trump’s logic with biting irony, “If I, Donald Trump, was in the files, they would have released it. So clearly, I’m not in the files. But of course, I’m clearly in the files, which makes them phony.'”
Trump also insisted, “I never had the privilege of going to his island, and I did turn it down.” Stewart didn’t let that phrasing slide, “The privilege? The f**k?”
He launched into a mock conversation, “Hey Donald, you want to go to the island this weekend?’ ‘Well, first of all, Jeffrey, thank you for thinking of me. Unfortunately, that’s the weekend that the teen pageant that I bought is installing the indoor security locker room cameras.”

One user even raised questions about the details Trump seemed to know, “Am I wrong to notice that if Trump knows the number of times "island visitors" visited the Island. Doesn't that mean there is a list.....? AM I TRIPPIN?"
A person expressed shock, “Say what!! Did he just say Privilege.”
"Privilege?!" DJT is sounding more and more sus everyday,” said a netizen.
