NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jon Stewart humorously criticized Donald Trump for recycling old insults at Kamala Harris, essentially rehashing the same criticism the former president previously directed at President Joe Biden.

In a recent episode of 'The Daily Show' on Monday, August 12, Stewart remarked on Trump's struggle to come up with new material by pointing out that his attacks are not only predictable but also strikingly familiar.

Jon Stewart calls Donald Trump 'lazy' for using Joe Biden's remarks on Kamala Harris

Speaking about the recycled insults, Jon Stewart said, "Look people, they pulled the candidate Trump was crushing. It's hard. You think you could write a new hour in a month? It's not easy. He's trying."

The political commentator, who drew attention to Harris' rising popularity in the polls, a trend that seems to be unsettling for Trump, then played a montage of the Republican presidential candidate using nearly identical rhetoric against Harris as he had against Biden, according to Mashable.

"This is just a remix?" Stewart said of the clip he played.

Mocking Trump, the comedian said, "Dude, you can't just find and replace Biden with Kamala, that's lazy apocalypse-ing!"

"If you want us to genuinely fear your opponent as the existential threat you'd like to make them out to be, you're gonna have to do better than boilerplate, cut and paste shit. You're better than this, Donald," he added.

Jon Stewart mocks Donald Trump for Willie Brown's story about Kamala Harris

In a segment of the recent episode, Jon Stewart also mocked Donald Trump's confusion between two Black politicians while recounting a helicopter ride with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown who was Kamala Harris' former romantic interest from the 90s.

Trump claimed that Willie told him "terrible things" about Kamala Harris during their helicopter ride together and also claimed they were forced to make an emergency landing.

However, Trump had been on a helicopter ride with former California Gov Jerry Brown (D) and not Willie Brown, according to the New York Times.

“You were in a helicopter with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, who famously dated Kamala Harris, and while the helicopter was going down — as you were plunging to your imminent death — former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown turns to you and says, ‘This might not mean anything to you now. But do you, do you remember that lady I was going out with? The prosecutor? Well, before we die, I just want you to know: She’s the worst,’” joked Stewart.
