'The Responder' fans get emotional as Bernard Hill makes final TV appearance in BBC show hours after death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Viewers were moved to tears as they witnessed Bernard Hill's final TV appearance in the BBC series 'The Responder' on Sunday, May 5.
The second installment of Martin Freeman's thriller 'The Responder' premiered on BBC One on Sunday night just hours after the actor's death was announced by his agent, as per Daily Mail.

In the BBC drama, Hill was seen in the role of Tom Carson, father to Freeman's character Chris Carson.
'The Responder' revolves around Chris, a police response officer who is attempting to turn his life around and regain control of his mental health.
Hill starred in 'Titanic', the classic 1980s TV drama 'The Black Stuff,' and its sequel, which launched him into a celebrity, along with the 'Lord of The Rings' trilogy, which bagged 17 Oscars.

He delivered a string of towering performances throughout his career and it was a huge privilege to work with him on The Responder in his final role, fittingly back in his beloved Liverpool where it all began.
