Which show will Sara Haines appear in?

The 46-year-old television star shared that she would be making an appearance in an upcoming episode of 'Finding Your Roots.'

The PBS documentary show features educator Henry Louis Gates Jr as the host, and celebrities making an appearance to try and find out more about their ancestry with the help of their DNA.

According to The Sun, in each episode, the guest star for the day is set to find out whether they are related to famous or infamous people, discover secrets, and get to know their ancestral history.

The test involved in obtaining the sought information is performed by analyzing the genetic code of the person concerned, and DNA diagnostic experts tracing back bloodlines.

Haines is set to appear in an episode of Season 10 of the show, which airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on PBS.

Sunny Hostin's experience has Sara Haines worried

"I'm doing mine," is what Haines said as she broke the news to her co-hosts, making Hostin question back, "You're doing yours too?"

"Yeah. They're working on it," Haines replied. "We shoot at the end of the year. But, I'm not expecting great things so..."

Her cause for concern may be attributed to Hostin's recent appearance on the show, which brought some disturbing truths about the co-host's ancestors to the fore.

Gates Jr shared in the episode, that Hostin, 55, who always identified with her Latin roots, was only 7 percent indigenous Puerto Rican, and that her ancestors may have been slave owners with a Spanish connection.

"Our researchers discovered that her third great-grandfather, Fermín, was the son of a merchant who was likely involved in the slave trade, and Fermín himself owned at least one human being," he stated.

"What's more, moving back on this line, we found that it originates in Galicia, Spain — evidence of Sunny's deeper ancestry and her family ties to Spain's colonial past."

Hostin did later say that she was thankful to know the truth, which she would be sharing with her children.

Co-host Joy Behar, however, had a very different experience during her time on the show. She said that nothing remotely interesting was discovered about her ancestors, resulting in the episode being canned.
