NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ star Ana Navarro has recently claimed in a post that she’s dealing with grief and loss after opening up about the death of her mother.
The 51-year-old took to Instagram to share a carousel post, honoring the memory of her late mother on her second death anniversary, revealing that it was indeed a “tough day” for her.
Navarro addressed “sadness” and “loss” in her post, requesting her followers to keep her mother in their “prayers today.”

Navarro shared a series of photos of her mother Violeta Flores Lopez on Instagram.
The first was a portrait of her mother from when she was a teenager with her hair tied back into a curly ponytail with a white ribbon.
Another was a photo of her mother closer to the present, wearing light eyeshadow and posing alongside her daughter.
The third photo showed her mother in a paisley quarter-sleeve top holding Ana's dog ChaCha.
She captioned the post, “Ooof. Today is a hard day for me and my family. My mom died two years ago. It’s ok to be sad.”
She continued, “Today, I woke up thinking of her, playing her favorite song. Sadness and loss is the price to be paid for having loved and been loved unconditionally - the way only a mother can love.”
She continued, “I know I’m one of the lucky ones. Not everyone is blessed with a spectacular mom. And I know I’m not alone. There are many of us dealing with grief and loss, and getting through it the best we can. My mom, Violeta, was a woman of great faith. If you are the praying kind, please include her in yours today.”
Ana and her mother were very close. The pair even share the same name, Violeta.
‘The View’ host's full name is Ana Violeta Navarro-Cardenas. Her mother died in 2021 at age 81 after battling a long-term illness.
