'It was big grey object': Actor-comedian Dan Aykroyd reveals close encounter with UFO on 'Fox & Friends'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On the December 8th episode of 'Fox & Friends,' actor-comedian Dan Aykroyd joined co-hosts Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, and Brian Kilmeade.
The discussion revolved around Aykroyd's UFO sighting and a new Fox Nation special exploring "drinks that changed the world."
Earhardt began the segment by stating that the US Congress is scheduled to receive a classified UFO briefing on January 12. She proceeded to inquire about her guest's quadruple UFO sightings, urging him to share his experiences.
Dan Aykroyd claims to have seen UFO in Montreal
Responding to Earhardt, the 71-year-old SNL veteran said, "The most spectacular one I saw was about 50 feet away from me (when I was) on the 23rd floor of a hotel in Montreal."
"There were no lights at all," Aykroyd launched into a description. "It was just a big grey object. It looked like a Macy's Day parade balloon. But there were no (such) balloons in Montreal in February, when I saw it."
The actor was accompanied by a friend at the time. Recounting the incident, he shared, "She looked up and said, 'What's that?!' We looked out the window and there was this large grey object, measuring 100 feet in length and 50 feet in height, with what appeared to be a cluster of grapes underneath it."
"It just sat there and we got a good look at it for about maybe a minute and a half. Then it kind of turned slowly, (with) no sound, and just drifted off. We ran into the hall and saw it drift over the St Lawrence River," he added.
Dan Aykroyd's upcoming docuseries
Kilmeade expressed skepticism about the actor's assertion, suggesting it could be investigated.
However, he acknowledged Aykroyd's confirmed Fox Nation special, 'A History of The World in Six Glasses.' This six-part comedic docuseries features Aykroyd taking the audience on a global tasting tour of drinks that changed the world, accompanied by some of his SNL alumni.
The series is based on a bestselling book of the same name by Tom Standage.
Aykroyd shared that the special revolves around "all the drinks and fluid in the world that influenced us, from beer, from the time of the pyramids and the time of early civilizations (like) Mesopotamia, through to wine, with the Greeks and the Romans - the impact of that socially."
"Spirits, coffee, tea, and soda, everything gets covered in the series," he stated.
"What's great about this is it's very entertaining but it's also really informative. The research was great and it's full of facts and figures that we never assumed we'd know about these important fluids that we drink," he concluded.
