Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) witnessed a flurry of reactions from fans expressing their astonishment at the unexpected slip of the tongue.

During the CBS live broadcast of the Chiefs-Bills game on Sunday, December 10, as reported by the New York Post, Romo found himself a bit ahead of the game when it came to Kelce and Swift's relationship status.

The commentary blunder occurred in the second quarter when the camera focused on a video of Swift cheering from her box after Kelce made a catch.

A clip posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Pop Crave captured the moment, with Romo initially saying, "You can see Kelce’s wife Taylor Swift in the audience." He promptly corrected himself, saying, "I’m sorry, girlfriend."

Kelce and Swift were initially linked in September, and their relationship became public the following month when they were photographed holding hands in New York City.

Soon after Romo's on-air slip of the tongue came to light, numerous Swifties flocked to gush over the incident.
