'They can just go you-know-what themselves': Cher slams Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for snubbing her again
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cher celebrated her holiday tune 'DJ Play a Christmas Song' reaching the top of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.'
Sharing her thoughts on the show, Cher also sent a message to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that she was no longer interested in becoming a member after being rejected for years.
The 77-year-old musical icon appeared on the show a few days after she and her boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards were spotted attending Justin Timberlake's opening-night performance at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, per Daily Mail.
'Never going to change my mind'
The legendary singer-songwriter took to 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' on Friday, December 15, to discuss her exclusion from the esteemed museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
Cher told host Kelly Clarkson, "You know what, I wouldn't be in it now if they gave me a million dollars. I'm never going to change my mind."
Following the revelation from the 'Moonstruck' star, the host was shocked and had her mouth open. Cher assured her that she wasn't "kidding" and then joked that she was "about to say something else."
"I was gonna say I'm not s***ting you! They can just go you-know-what themselves," Cher quipped.

With her holiday hit, 'DJ Play a Christmas Song,' topping Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, Cher made history as the first female artist to have a No 1 song for the previous seven decades in a row.
The Rolling Stones, who have had at least one new No 1 on the Billboard charts in every decade between the 1960s and 2020s, have joined her in that historic milestone, per PEOPLE.
While Cher let Kelly know that the Rolling Stones could claim the same achievement, she still managed to get the audience to applaud and Kelly up on her feet by adding, "It took four of them to be one of me."
With all of the icon's achievements and astonishingly extensive career, it was extremely unexpected that Cher had not been nominated to the Hall of Fame.
Cher blasted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, saying, "I changed music forever with 'Believe.'"
The 1998 single, which was the first in pop music to incorporate auto-tune, is still popular today after spending four weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2023 excluded Cher
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inducted Sheryl Crow, Kate Bush, Missy Elliot, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, George Michael, and the Spinners in November of 2023.
Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Eminem, Pat Benatar, Lionel Richie, Eurythmics, and Carly Simon were among the honorees for the 2022 class.
It takes 25 years for an artist to be eligible for a nomination to the Hall of Fame.
The 'Burlesque' actress began recording in the early 1960s, but it wasn't until the middle of the decade that she released a song under her own name (Cherilyn Sarkisian) instead of her stage name.
The artist would therefore have been eligible since 1990, if not before, but she has been denied entry into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for over 30 years.
