The meme in question originated from Swift's recent song 'Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?' from her newly released album 'The Tortured Poets Department.' The lyric that sparked the meme frenzy was: "You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me."

Fans and followers promptly began sharing the line alongside images depicting their own haunting memories, childhood hobbies, or life phases, drawing parallels between Swift's words and their personal experiences.

On Thursday, April 25, Lewinsky seized the opportunity to join in on the viral trend, posting the lyrics alongside a photo of the White House – a subtle reference to her highly publicized affair with former President Bill Clinton.

"You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me," Lewinsky captioned the post.

Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' marks a historic milestone for Spotify

During the late 1990s, Lewinsky gained widespread attention after her affair with President Clinton was exposed during her internship at the White House. Subsequently, she withdrew from the public eye, rarely appearing in public.

However, in 2014, Lewinsky reemerged with an essay in Vanity Fair titled 'Shame and Survival', where she candidly discussed her experiences as a victim of cyberbullying and the journey of reclaiming her identity post-scandal. Since then, she has reinvented herself as a vocal advocate against online harassment.

The viral trend gained momentum swiftly following the release of Swift’s latest studio album. Within hours of its debut, Swift surprised fans with a second album titled 'The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology,' featuring an additional 15 songs.

Notably, the album shattered records on Spotify, becoming the platform’s most-streamed album in a single day. Within less than 12 hours of release, it amassed over 300 million streams, marking a historic milestone for Spotify.
