LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber is mourning the death of his longtime rapper friend Chris King.

Bieber took to Instagram on Saturday, April 20 to pay tribute to King, who died over the weekend.

What did Justin Bieber say?

The 30-year-old singer, who was seen in West Hollywood this weekend, shared to his Instagram stories a December 2023 post from the California-bred music artist that showed them sharing a hug.

Bieber wrote over the post, "Love you bro. This one hurts. Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother."

King had earlier shared a video clip of him and the Canadian pop star on December 1 with a caption that said, "fun fact: i lived at my brother krib for a full year and a half almost 10 years ago. glad some people never change no matter what. all love, forever extended family. @justinbieber."

Additionally, rapper Trippie Redd, who was best friends with Chris, confirmed his death online. Though details about his sudden demise are unknown, it has been speculated that Chris' death was the result of an alleged shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, as per US Sun. 

Trippie paid tribute to King with a carousel post on his Instagram. His caption read, "I am so hurt rn I can't even think I love you bro come back!!!!!"

For context, Chris was active on his social media just hours before his death as he posted photos from Nashville.

Internet mourns death of Chris King 

Apart from singers, several social media users mourned the sudden death of Chris King. An Instagram user wrote, "Damn you'd always see bro in LA on some good energy shit." 

Another said, "Rest easy bro..such a genuine soul." Someone else noted, "Damn slime you'll never be 4gotten." "Damnnn bro I am hurt," a comment read.

A user noted, "Somebody def was hating this def cray." Another wrote, "something seems to be out." 

Meanwhile, rapper Tyla Yaweh posted, "Bro we just talked for like 3 hours 2 days ago wtf this not real man." 

Another response read, "Here to show my respect bro fly high we always been cool."
