ATKINSON, NEW HAMPSHIRE: Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently withdrew from the US Presidential race, joined forces with former President Donald Trump at a rally in Atkinson, New Hampshire.

The crowd erupted with "VP, VP (Vice President)" chants as Ramaswamy delivered a passionate speech endorsing Trump, who reciprocated the admiration, stating, "He's going to be working with us for a long time."

Trump-Vivek 2024?

The alliance unfolded just a day after the Iowa caucuses, where Trump secured a dominating victory. Ramaswamy, a biotech multimillionaire, was thanked by Trump for his endorsement during the Atkinson rally.

Trump emphasized the need for an "America First patriot" in the White House, aligning with Ramaswamy's call to Republican voters.

Following his withdrawal from the presidential race, Ramaswamy openly endorsed Trump. At the Atkinson rally, he declared, "There is not a better choice left in this race than this man right here."

Urging the audience to "do the right thing," he added, "This man is going to be the next President to revive them. E pluribus unum, from many, one [Motto of US]."

Ramaswamy continued by articulating his stance on key issues, proclaiming, "You know how we are going to do it? We are going to do it by speaking the truth at every step of the way. There are two genders in this country. Period. That is the truth.

"Fossil fuels are a requirement for human prosperity. Drill, frack, burn coal, and embrace nuclear energy. Reverse racism isn't racism, and an open border is not a border. Parents determine the education of their children. The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to humankind. Capitalism lifts us up from poverty.

"There are three branches of government in the United States, not four. The US Constitution is the strongest and greatest guarantor of freedom in human history. That is the truth; we fight for the truth," Ramaswamy added.

The crowd responded with loud cheers and chants of "VP, VP," propping him up for the post of Vice President while the duo whispered on stage.

Trump, acknowledging the fervor, said, "Wow, that's how it. Pretty good, isn't it? He is a fantastic guy, and he's really got something that is very special." The former president assured that Ramaswamy would be working closely with his team for a "long time."

"It's an honor to have his endorsement," Trump said. "I was actually surprised when he called up because he was doing really good," he continued, adding, "He is going to be working with us, and he will be working with us for a long time," he added, as quoted by Fox News.

Social media reactions

Social media ignited with reactions to the potential pairing of Ramaswamy as Trump's running mate.

"I think we have something here guys! This pairing is iconic. I've never seen 2 people feed off each other's energy so well," one posted on X (formerly Twitter).

"I want Vivek as VP!!" another wrote.

"I'd still love to see Trump/Vivek," someone else added.

"Let’s go!! Maga cannot be stopped now!! Trump Vivek 2024!" another gushed.

Throughout the campaign, Trump and Ramaswamy have exchanged praise, with Trump signaling openness to having Ramaswamy as his running mate.

Despite a brief hiccup earlier in the week when Trump criticized Ramaswamy's campaign as "deceitful" and urged his supporters not to "waste" their vote on him, Ramaswamy stood firm in his support for Trump. He reiterated his belief that Trump is the "greatest President" of the 21st century and vowed to pardon Trump from all charges on his first day in office.

As the GOP race shifts to New Hampshire for the primary on January 23, Trump's resounding victory in the Iowa caucuses, winning 20 out of 40 delegates with a significant lead, positions him as a formidable contender for a 2020 rematch contest with incumbent Joe Biden.

Trump's ability to maintain support despite legal challenges and indictments showcases his iron grip over the party and its supporters.
