WASHINGTON, DC: Before a vote to approve $95.3 billion in foreign aid for Taiwan, Israel, and Ukraine, Republican Sen Thom Tillis accused MAGA Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday, April 23, of 'dragging our brand down', as per the New York Post.

Notably, Tillis responded to Greene with a jab after the fiery congresswoman attempted to obstruct the House's passage of the foreign aid bill.

Tillis said in a recording played live on CNN’s 'Erin Burnett OutFront', "She is a total waste of time. She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down. She — not the Democrats — are the biggest risk to us getting back to a majority."

As a result of Greene's insurrection against House Speaker Mike Johnson for supporting military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine during its conflict with Russia, two more Republicans have signed on to a resolution calling for their leader's resignation.

Rep Thomas Massie, one of the three calling for Johnson to step down, said, "The thing about Marjorie that I appreciate is even though you may not like what she’s saying sometimes, she’s saying what the base is saying in large part, and she’ll say things up here [on Capitol Hill] that people don’t want to hear. But they know they’re hearing when you go back home."

However, despite the danger to his speakership, Johnson faced up to it and, with Democratic support, enacted a four-bill aid package that included $60.8 billion for Ukraine to stave against Russian President Vladimir Putin's aggression.

Notably, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and others gave Greene the moniker 'Moscow Marjorie'. Former Rep Ken Buck said on CNN the day before the bill passed, "Moscow Marjorie has reached a new low. She is just mouthing Russian propaganda."

Notably, Greene and other conservative Republicans have maintained that Johnson abandoned his own objections to accepting intelligence agencies' unwarranted spying powers and changed his mind on his pledges to safeguard the US border before supporting the aid bills.
