WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Thomas Massie didn't waste time firing back at President Donald Trump after the latter went scorched-earth on his love life.

The commander-in-chief unleashed a personal broadside on Friday, November 14, dragging Massie, 54, and his new wife, Carolyn Grace Moffa, 36, amid the Kentucky Republican's crusade to release documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump takes a jab at Thomas Massie's 'quick' remarriage

“Did Thomas Massie, sometimes referred to as Rand Paul Jr, because of the fact that he always votes against the Republican Party, get married already??? Boy, that was quick!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He added, “No wonder the Polls have him at less than an 8% chance of winning the Election. Anyway, have a great life Thomas and (?). His wife will soon find out that she’s stuck with a LOSER!”

The jab came less than two weeks after Massie and Moffa tied the knot in Pennsylvania, just a year after the congressman tragically lost his first wife, Rhonda Massie, the mother of their four children.

Thomas Massie is taking Trump's jab with a grain of salt

During an appearance on ABC’s 'This Week', Thomas Massie was asked whether Donald Trump’s attack rattled him. The congressman responded by joking that his newlywed wife had already sized up the situation. “I told you we should have invited Donald Trump. He's mad that he didn't get an invitation," she apparently told him.

“We're taking it with a grain of salt,” Massie said. “He's being a bully or trying to be a bully.”

He also brushed off Trump’s support of his would-be challenger in the 2026 midterms, former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein, saying the money behind Gallrein is coming from three billionaires he claims have connections to Epstein.

“Dogs don't bark at parked cars," Massie told ABC’s Jonathan Karl. “And we are winning. I am not tired of winning yet,” he continued, borrowing one of Trump’s own signature lines. “Not only the speaker, the attorney general, the FBI director, the president himself, and the vice president, they are taking a big loss this week because after months of fighting, I am winning this week.”

Massie warned Republicans who are “deciding how to vote” that Trump can protect them “in red districts right now by giving you an endorsement, but in 2030, he's not gonna be the president and you will have voted to protect pedophiles if you don't release these files.”

“The record of this vote will last longer than Trump's presidency," he added.

Trump and his allies want to keep Epstein files under wraps to 'avoid embarrassment'

According to Thomas Massie, the Trump administration is trying to keep those Epstein files under wraps to avoid embarrassing the president’s pals.

“They'll claim privately they're trying to avoid embarrassment for some of the president's friends. And they'll say that privately. They won't say that publicly,” he said in a Friday interview with a Cincinnati radio station, per Newsweek.

“But I don't think embarrassment is a good reason, like saving somebody from embarrassment is a good reason to protect dozens of men who preyed on underage women in a sex trafficking operation,” the congressman added.
