Tia Mowry shares major update on relationship with sister Tamera ahead of new reality series' premiere

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tia Mowry has recently provided fans with a heartfelt update about her personal life, sharing intimate details about her relationship with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, as well as her divorce from Cory Hardrict.

As she prepares for the premiere of her new We TV series 'Tia Mowry: My Next Act', the actress has opened up about experiencing solitude for the first time and navigating life after these significant changes, as per People.

Tia Mowry says being alone has been challenging for her

In a sneak peek of 'Tia Mowry: My Next Act', the 46-year-old revealed her feelings about being alone for the first time in her life. 

"I came into this world with a twin and right after that, I went into a 22-year relationship, so I have never been alone in my life. It has been quite a journey," shared Tia in the teaser.

The 'Sister, Sister' alum went on to express that the toughest part of her divorce has been learning how to cope with being by herself.

"Being alone has been the most challenging part of my divorce," admitted Tia, referencing the emotional journey that followed the end of her marriage.

Tia and Cory, who tied the knot in 2008, share two children, a son Cree, 13, and a daughter Cairo, 6.

Speaking directly to the camera, she revealed, "I think I lost me. I have this beautiful house, I have amazing kids, but the one thing I don’t have is love."

Tia's experience with divorce, however, isn’t just about loss; it's about renewal and rediscovery. "Divorce is about starting over, and you have to learn how to live again," reflected the 'Family Reunion' star.

Another emotional revelation in the teaser revolves around Tia Mowry’s relationship with her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley.

The two sisters, who once shared an inseparable bond in both their personal and professional lives, have grown distant in recent years, according to Tia.

"There are times like this when I feel and wish that my sister and I were still close, and I could pick up the phone and call her. But that’s just not where we are right now," confessed Tia in the preview.

Her heartfelt admission left many fans wondering what had led to this rift between the famous twins, who starred together on the hit show 'Sister, Sister' and in various other projects over the years.

A source told People that the distance between Tia and Tamera isn't rooted in any personal conflict but rather in their geographical separation.

They explained, "The sisters are still close, but the quote being referenced was about the lack of proximity in their physical location — Tamera lives in Napa and Tia lives in Los Angeles."

On Friday, September 20, the same day the teaser was shared, Tia took to Instagram to share a throwback video of Tamera trying some of her breast milk after the birth of her son Cree.

Tia captioned the post, "Who remembers that time on Tia & Tamera when I got my sis to try my breast milk after Cree was born?! 🤣😂 Yes, that actually happened! With my new show Tia Mowry: My Next Act coming out on October 4th, I had to bring back this iconic moment. Get ready for more laughs, realness, and all the new chapters ahead!"
