Tiffany Haddish ordered to abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs following second DUI arrest in a year
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Tiffany Haddish is facing strict court orders after being arrested for a second DUI in Los Angeles on November 24.
A Georgia judge has ordered her to abstain from alcohol and illegal drugs, and to submit to random drugs, RadarOnline reports.
Tiffany Haddish’s second DUI arrest in less than a year
Haddish was arrested on November 24, 2023, after police found her asleep in her car behind the wheel in the middle of the street.
She had been performing at a comedy club in West Hollywood for their annual free Thanksgiving event, as per reports. TMZ published footage of Haddish being handcuffed and taken to the police car by two officers.
This was not the first time Haddish was arrested for DUI. In January 2022, she was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia, for a similar offense after she was caught sleeping behind the wheel on a highway. Police suspected she was high on marijuana and charged her with DUI. She was released from custody after paying $1,666 bond.
Tiffany Haddish’s bond conditions modified by court
Prosecutors in Georgia, as per the report, asked the court to modify Haddish’s bond conditions last month, to include a clause that Haddish cannot drink and must be drug tested. The judge agreed and issued the order last week, the publication reported.
The order stated that "Haddish must refrain from alcohol, illegal drugs and Hem products such as CBD." It also stated that any prescription drugs Haddish takes must be within the "therapeutic limit."
Furthermore, Haddish will have to submit to a drug test panel that can detect the presence of common illegal drugs and alcohol metabolites, such as ETG and ETS.
Tiffany Haddish turned turned 44 on December 3
Haddish, who turned 44, days after her second arrest on Decemner 3, got back on the stage the next day after her arrest at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California, and joked about the incident as PageSix reported.
“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she said, adding “This will never happen again" without elaborating on the incident.
