PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Making his debut at Vice President Kamala Harris' Pennsylvania rally as her running mate for the upcoming election, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz launched into a fiery attack against his GOP rival, Senator JD Vance (R-Ohio), on Tuesday, August 6.

The Harris campaign officially announced Walz as the presumptive Democratic nominee's running mat on Tuesday morning. Speaking in front of a 12,000-strong crowd, Harris later said at the rally, "Since the day that I announced my candidacy, I set out to find a partner who can help build this brighter future. I found such a leader: Governor Tim Walz of the great state of Minnesota.”

Tim Walz challenges JD Vance

Tim Walz lost no time in slamming Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance from the rally stage, calling out his association with the highly controversial Project 2025, as well as making a cheeky "couch" reference.

Vance shares the "backward and dangerous agenda" for the United States that is endorsed by GOP nominee and former president Donald Trump, Walz said in his speech.

"JD Vance literally wrote the foreword for the architect of the Project 2025 Agenda," he said, continuing sarcastically, "Like all regular people I grew up with in the heartland, JD studied in Yale, had his career funded by Silicon Valley billionaires, and then wrote a bestseller trashing that community. Come on!"

"That's not what Middle America is. And I gotta tell you, I can't wait to debate the guy," announced Walz. "That is if he's willing to get off the couch and show up. So..."

As the crowd cheered, he quipped, "You see what I did there?"

Tim Walz's jab at Donald Trump

During his speech, Tim Walz did not pull any punches while taking on Donald Trump. "He froze in the face of the Covid crisis. He drove our economy into the ground. And make no mistake, violent crime was up against Donald Trump," he said.

"That's not even counting the crimes he committed," he remarked, receiving a standing ovation from the attendees.

"Look, I gotta tell you, just an observation of mine that I gotta say. You know it, you feel it. These guys are creepy and yes, weird as hell. That's what you see," Walz later added, encouraging the crowd to chant, "We are not going back!"

"So impressed by the democrats’ campaign. Surprised even," noted one person.
