FREEPORT, FLORIDA: Democratic running mate Tim Walz's older brother Jeff Walz has backpedaled his earlier wild attacks that he made against his brother Tim and said that "there is going to be no further statements to anybody." He added that he didn’t want to interfere in the election and didn’t back his brother.

In a series of Facebook comments, Jeff appeared to be clear that he strongly opposes his brother’s ideas, and described himself as "100% opposed to all his ideology," per the Daily Beast.

Jeff Walz informed News Nation on Tuesday, September 3, "I don’t agree with his policies, but in no way am I trying to influence the general public and come out and make a stance on that."

He added, "There is going to be no further statements to anybody, and we’re not campaigning or anything for him or against him or anything like that."

Jeff also alluded to "stories [he] could tell," on Facebook, but informed that these were similar to the one where none of the three Walz siblings wanted to sit next to Tim during road trips because "he had car sickness," adding that "there’s really nothing else hidden behind there."

He said, "I was getting a lot of feedback from my friends, old acquaintances, thinking that I was feeling the same way that my brother did on the issues. And I was trying to clarify that just to friends. I used Facebook, which wasn’t the right platform to do that."

He added, "The only thing I took exception to, and I will stand behind this 100%, was that we felt bad that we found out about his being picked as the [Democratic] vice presidential candidate from radio. We felt like we probably should have been given a heads-up and some type of security, at least for a short time, because I guess that is a big thing."

Jeff Walz's allegedly endorses Donald Trump

GOP presidential pick Donald Trump claimed on Wednesday, September 4, that Jeff Walz endorsed him, despite Jeff saying hours earlier he didn’t plan to publicly back the ex-president. Trump claimed it as an unverified viral image purporting to show Walz family members wearing pro-Trump T-shirts was shared online, per Forbes.

Trump thanked Jeff for his endorsement in a Truth Social post and said they planned to meet "soon," including a photo of eight people wearing T-shirts printed with the slogan "Walz’s [sic] for Trump."

Trump wrote, "Thank you very much, Jeff. It is a Great Honor to have your Endorsement. I look forward to meeting you soon!"

Notably, Charles Herbster, the chairman of Rural Americans for Trump and a former Nebraska GOP gubernatorial candidate initially shared the photo on X and later made the rounds among pro-Trump social media users.

The family members present in the photo are descendants of Francis Walz, the brother of Tim Walz’s grandfather, Herbster’s spokesperson Rod Edwards said and added that a friend of the Walz family gave Herbster’s team the photo and one of the individuals verified the Photo's legitimacy to Edwards directly.
