'Today' host Hoda Kotb embraces 'crazy adventure' of turning 60 in 2024
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: While talking about celebrities who are turning 60 in the upcoming year, 'TODAY' co-host Jenna Bush Hager announced that her co-star Hoda Kotb is also a member of the club.
Kotb was visibly enthusiastic to discuss the topic and said that she was very excited at the prospect.
Hoda Kotb feels being sixty 'is amazing'
"It's just so crazy about chapters in life, said Kotb, "I am so glad that all of my stuff is happening now."
She recalled a time when people used to hide their ages, and clarified that she had never bought into the idea.
"I feel vibrant, excited, and I feel like I am evolving," she continues, embracing the change.
"I feel like I'm different than I was a month ago, six months ago, a year ago. It's like a great crazy adventure."
There was a time when the host admitted to dreading the situation, recalling when the Golden Girls turned 50. But that is not the case anymore.
"Just think about this. The person we admire, almost more than anyone, is Oprah, (who) is about to turn 70. It's about evolution. You can be 30 and be stuck… like a 50, 60, or 70-year-old person… But if you are curious and growing and evolving, life's fine."
"Your body is carrying your coolness around, that's all your body is there for. It's like carrying your spirit around. If your spirit is young, you're young. And if your spirit is not, you know, you are not," she added.
