LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Just days after reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were released from prison, the couple is back in the spotlight as they chase their next big television deal.

According to insiders speaking with DailyMail, multiple production companies are eyeing a potential comeback show centered around the 'Chrisley Knows Best' couple, who were recently pardoned by President Donald Trump after serving over two years for tax evasion and bank fraud.

While the Chrisleys are reportedly seeking a seven-figure payout, producers remain divided on whether the deal is worth the gamble.

Todd and Julie Chrisley are reportedly seeking a hefty payday for their television comeback. According to multiple insiders, the Chrisleys are demanding a seven-figure deal to headline a new show, with at least one producer confirming they’re asking for a minimum of $5 million.

“We would love to work with them, but their price tag is way too high,” one reality TV producer told a media outlet. “And it's not entirely clear if they'll be worth the money. Will people want to watch them?”

Another insider echoed that sentiment, "That's where the conversation starts. But they're hoping for a bidding war to take the price much higher."

However, producers remain cautious, as discussions continue over what the new show’s direction would be.

“What everyone has to decide is what a Chrisley show will look like,” the source said. “What will the angle be? That's important in deciding what the cost should be.”

The Chrisley family already has a separate project underway with Lifetime, a docuseries focused on how the children coped while Todd and Julie were incarcerated. Initially, the series was not expected to feature the couple themselves.

However, following their presidential pardon, Todd and Julie wasted no time returning to the spotlight and began filming. Still, it seems one show won’t satisfy their ambitions.

“They're hungry for a good deal,” a network executive shared. “And if we can come up with one, I'll put them back on TV. Because people will watch.”

Internet fumes as Todd and Julie Chrisley make hefty demands for a new TV show

As film producers weighed in on Todd and Julie Chrisley’s demands for a new TV show, internet users were quick to react, with many taking to social media to voice their frustration over the couple’s astronomical expectations.

One user mocked "Who could watch them two thief’s."

The second user wrote, "Should have never been let out."

A frustrated user said, "Haven’t learned a lesson at all. Trying laying low."

A commenter joked, "Won't be watching..Pay your debt."

Another person on Facebook said, "Pathetic. Should have kept them in prison."

A speaker commented, "Isn't that just like a grifter?! Freshly out of prison and he is DEMANDING a 7 figure pay day!! Unfreaking believable in a normal world but in the dystopian world of Trump, and Trumper's, it's just another day. We are in a world where good is destroyed and bad is applauded. The worst part? They'll pay it and idiots will watch it, which is why he can demand it. Ugh."

A user trolled, "Simple, don't pay for it."

A Facebook user wrote, "They don't deserve it!" One individual added, "Gross. Boycott them & whatever network produces their show(s)."

The last user added, "Won't bother watching a criminal family who stole money making more money."

Todd Chrisley attends press conference after prison release

Todd and Julie Chrisley were previously convicted of defrauding banks in the Atlanta area out of more than $36 million by submitting false documents, in addition to being found guilty of tax evasion. Todd received a 12-year federal prison sentence, while Julie was sentenced to seven years. The couple was also ordered to pay $17.8 million in restitution.

Despite the convictions, Todd remained defiant during a press conference on Friday, May 30, continuing to assert his innocence and accusing prosecutors of misconduct.

“I would have remorse if it was something that I did,” he said. “The corruption that went on in our case is going to continue to unfold.”

“Julie is a wonderful, decent, God-fearing woman,” Todd said when asked about her absence. “I'm blessed to have been married to and been with for over 30 years now, an excellent mother."

Referring to their 12-year-old granddaughter, he added, “She's at home with Chloe right now. Chloe will not let her go. We're blessed to have our family back.”
