Tom Brady nearly shut down Netflix roast over Jeff Ross' joke about Robert Kraft, reveals comedian
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Andrew Schulz has reportedly shed light on the reason behind Tom Brady's outrage toward Jeff Ross during the NFL legend's Netflix roast. The comedian revealed that there were strict instructions not to joke about New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Daily Mail reported.
During the roast, which aired on Sunday, Brady, 45, publicly confronted Ross over a joke referencing Kraft's alleged affinity for "happy endings" at massage parlors. Schulz, who was among the comics present, disclosed that all participants were explicitly warned against making such jokes.

Schulz recounted, "When Tom (Brady) checked Jeff Ross, I think that was 100 percent real... They told us, 'No jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft.'''
Schultz added, "I had that joke about Randy Moss. ''Randy Moss you make Super Bowl Sundays the only people celebrating a happy ending with a priest.'"
"And they were like ''Tom asked not to do anything with the massage s**t.'' I was like ''Aight, cool. Like the guy is coming here for this thing, whatever. He's not getting roasted, he's sitting in the f***ing stands, like aight," the comedian added.
"And then Jeff did it, and then Tom walks up and he goes, ''Yo cut that s**t out.' Or 'Don't do that again.' But think about it, this is the first comic that goes on a live roast, and it's your night," Schultz continued.
The comedian explained that he had prepared a joke involving Kraft but refrained from using it due to the directive. However, Ross disregarded the warning, prompting Brady to intervene.
Schulz highlighted Brady's assertiveness, stating, "He was ready to shut the whole thing down. That's an alpha a** move right there."
Former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman later revealed the tense atmosphere at the roast, describing it as palpable. The event also marked a frosty reunion between Brady, Kraft, and his former head coach Bill Belichick.
Both Brady and Belichick are set to transition to media roles as analysts in the upcoming fall season, marking a new chapter in their post-NFL careers.
Tom Brady's fury at Netflix roast sparks debate online
Tom Brady's recent confrontation with comedian Jeff Ross at his Netflix roast has ignited a heated debate among internet users, with opinions divided on the NFL legend's reaction.
One social media user criticized Brady's response and stated, "These roasts are so brutal and I'm sure Tom Brady is aware of that. Ross's joke wasn't bad compared to what is usually said on that stage, and they also know that everyone present at the roast is fair game. Big time Mr Kraft shouldn't get special treatment. Don't agree to do it if you are going to act like a Diva, Mr Brady."
Another questioned the purpose of roasting athletes and wrote, "I still don’t understand the point of a Tom Brady roast in the first place. I’ve never seen an athlete roasted before."
Regarding the warning against jokes about Patriots owner Robert Kraft, one user sarcastically stated, "Telling a group of comedians at a ROAST to not joke about something 100% guarantees that someone will make a joke about it. There’s zero chance that Kraft was going to sit there for two hours and escape the roast without a massage joke. ZEE-RO."
Some users defended Brady's reaction, suggesting it was more about protocol than genuine anger. One person speculated, "He got up because Kraft is the big boss and he had to act like he wasn’t okay with it."
