Tom Brady skeptical about ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's romance timeline with jiu-jitsu trainer

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Brady is reportedly not believing the timeline of his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen's romance with her jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente.

While it has recently been claimed that the Sports Illustrated model started dating the Miami-based jiu-jitsu instructor in June 2023, after finalizing her divorce with NFL star husband in October 2022, sources close to Brady believe the romance commenced way earlier.

A few close pals of Brady recently revealed that the seven-time Super Bowl winner believes Bundchen started seeing Valente in 2021.

Recently sources close to the supermodel shared with People that Bundchen and her jiu-jitsu instructor started dating in June 2023. 

They said, "They have been dating since June. They're taking it slow.”

The couple’s purported relationship came under the radar after they were seen engaged in PDA during a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway.

The sources close to the supermodel shared that they started as “great friends.”

 “They started out as great friends first,” the source said, adding, “She's very private about this and wanted to keep it quiet while they got to know each other.”

However, soon after the report was published, sources from Brady’s camp shared their skepticism on the timeline.

One of the sources claimed to TMZ, "They should add 2021 after June. Then the headline would be accurate."

Gisele Bundchen and Joaquim Valente started out as friends

While one of the sources claimed that their relationship started from June 2023, another source added their relationship developed over time after Bundchen finalized her divorce.

The source said to People, "They started out as friends,” before adding, “He was a huge comfort for Gisele while she went through her divorce. Their friendship turned romantic after the divorce.”

They gushed about her new flame and said, “Joaquim is a great guy. He is down to earth, kind and inspiring. Gisele was hesitant about dating after the divorce. It's been very natural for her to date Joaquim.”  

Another source added that they bonded over their Brazilian roots. “They come from similar backgrounds. They both left Brazil very young,” said the tipster.

They explained, “They have both created amazing lives for themselves in the US They both love Miami, but also enjoy traveling.”

“They both enjoy healthy living. Gisele's in a great space. She is happy and very much enjoying life. Joaquim is perfect for her,” the insider added.

The insiders also added that after finalizing the divorce in October 2022, as the supermodel flew away to Costa Rica to focus on herself, the jiu-jitsu trainer accompanied her too.

One of the sources claimed to TMZ, "When [she and Brady] announced divorce in October 2022, Gisele fled to Costa Rica for 2 months. Joaquim flew there with her for 2 months. She takes her jiu-jitsu training seriously. LOL."

Gisele Bundchen gushed about Joaquim Valente earlier

While Bundchen has not publicly talked about her alleged relationship, she has not shied away from gushing about Valente.

Talking about her instructor and his siblings Pedro and Gui Valente, Bündchen said in an interview with Vanity Fair in April 2023, "They're all like senseis.”

She added, "I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I'm divorced, I'm sure that they're going to try to attach me to anything.”

"I'm so grateful to know all of them, because not only have they helped me and helped my kids, but they have become great friends, and Joaquim especially,” gushed the mother-of-two.

She continued, "He's our teacher and, most importantly, he's a person that I admire and that I trust," before adding, "It's so good to have that kind of energy, to have my kids around that type of energy."

While Bundchen is rumored to be romantically involved with her jiu-jitsu trainer, Tom Brady has also reportedly been involved in an on-and-off relationship with supermodel Irina Shayk.
