MIAMI, FLORIDA: NFL legend Tom Brady is once again in the headlines, but this time, it’s not for his achievements on the football field.

Following the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida, Brady announced that he was donating $100,000 to relief efforts, as per Bleacher Report.

Many on the Internet was quick to compare his contribution to that of pop superstar Taylor Swift, who made headlines for donating a staggering $5 million.

On Wednesday night, Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida, causing widespread damage and leaving millions without power.

The storm, which had been classified as a Category 5 hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, weakened to a Category 3 by the time it hit near Siesta Key, Florida.

As it traveled across the state, it further decreased to a Category 1 storm. Despite the reduction in its strength, the hurricane caused significant destruction, leaving more than 3.3 million residents without electricity, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Brady, who has strong ties to the state after spending the final years of his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, announced a $100,000 donation to assist with relief efforts.

His contribution was aimed at providing essential supplies such as food, water, and first aid to the affected communities.

"Stay safe, and stay strong, Florida," Brady shared on social media.

Brady’s donation, however, wasn’t the only celebrity contribution to the relief efforts. Swift, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, made headlines for donating $5 million to the same cause.

The charity Feeding America, which is helping distribute resources in the hurricane-affected areas, publicly thanked Swift for her massive donation.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricanes Helene and Milton relief efforts,” Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of the food bank network, said in a statement.

One person remarked, "Taylor swift donated $5MM. Makes Brady look like a cheapskate." Another said, "Didn't Taylor swift just give like 5 million to hurricane relief ? Brady only giving a 100k ? Pathetic."

"100k , Taylor swift 1up thus guy hard," wrote one person. Another added, "This proves Swift is the real GOAT and Brady is not."

One individual wrote, "Omg what a cheap bstrd." Another pointed out, "This is the equivalent of a person making 75 000 a year giving 15$."
