LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Brady’s former life coach Greg Harden has died after suffering complications after surgery.



 

The longtime University of Michigan athletics mental coach died on Friday, September 13. During his career, Harden has worked with thousands of student-athletes, including Desmond Howard and Michael Phelps.



 

University of Michigan confirms Greg Harden's death

The University’s athletics department announced over X, "Long-time University of Michigan Administrator Greg Harden, best known as the mental coach for thousands of student-athletes who competed for the university and countless others around the world, has passed away after complications from surgery. During his time at Michigan, Harden became known in many circles as the school's "Secret Weapon" for his work behind the scenes helping Wolverine athletes achieve peak performance."

What did Tom Brady say about Greg Harden's death?

The seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady also paid his tribute to Greg Harden. "I'm so sad to hear the news of Greg's passing. I'm heartbroken as he was a dear friend and mentor. There are so many beautiful qualities Greg had that endeared him to so many people over his years at Michigan," Brady said.

He added, “He meant the world to me and I could never have had the success I had without the time, energy, love and support he had given me. He will be truly missed," reported CBS News.

Harden was the president of Power One Performance Inc which offered performance coaching to corporate executives, professional athletes, and community leaders. 

He was also the President of Unlimited Access Educational Services (UAES), a non-profit organization, and also went on to serve as Senior Vice President of Associated Consultation and Training, Inc (ACT) and Executive Director of Leaders in Prevention.
