NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Tom Cruise’s noticeably younger look has once again stirred online buzz, and this time, actor and film critic Jonathan Ross is weighing in.

Following the 'Top Gun' star’s much-talked-about Super Bowl appearance earlier this year, rumors swirled that he had gone under the knife. Ross didn’t hold back, suggesting there may be truth to the chatter, saying Cruise has “got that kind of Play-Doh face.”

During the latest episode of his 'Reel Talks' podcast, Jonathan Ross shared his thoughts on Tom Cruise’s changing appearance while discussing Brad Pitt and his new film 'F1.'

Ross remarked that Cruise “doesn’t look like himself anymore,” drawing a comparison between Cruise’s altered look and Pitt’s naturally aged appearance.

Ross shared, “You've probably seen the poster around town, it's Brad Pitt looking incredible. He has aged remarkably because even though Cruise still looks good for his age, you can see there's been a bit of tweaking going on there, you know."

Ross went on to say, “He's definitely got a ton of filler in that face, I'm sure. Yeah, I've met him up close. I like Tom, he's a really nice man when you meet him. He's got that kind of Play-Doh face that people get when they have a lot of filler."

Additionally, Ross admitted he wished Cruise hadn’t gone down that route, suggesting the actor’s original look was more appealing.

“To be honest, I wish he hadn't done it cos he's got such a great face, he was a naturally very handsome man when young, and he would be a handsome man when older,” Ross said. “He's still, he's not unattractive, but it doesn't look that much like him anymore. You can see it doesn't look natural."

Ross added, “It's not because they don't look their age, it's because the shape of the face now looks somewhat different."

Despite being one of Hollywood’s most charismatic actors, Tom Cruise has long been the subject of rumors about cosmetic enhancements, including the suspected use of fillers and Botox to maintain his youthful appearance.

However, not everyone is convinced. A medical expert has offered a different perspective, suggesting that Cruise’s recent transformation is more likely due to natural factors, such as significant weight loss and a healthier lifestyle, rather than plastic surgery.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, plastic surgeon Dr Kahn weighed in on the speculation, stating, "I still say that does not look like he has had any plastic surgery. It actually looks like he has lost a ton of weight and been working out more. He also has a nice summer tan going on."

Kahn noted that Cruise appeared “a bit puffy” in the past, but that puffiness now seems to have disappeared. He also floated the possibility that the actor may have undergone a microdermabrasion treatment, a non-surgical procedure known for refreshing the skin.

"It's a simple procedure that yields great results," Kahn added.

Microdermabrasion is a minimally invasive skin treatment that gently exfoliates the outermost layer of dead cells. It’s often used to improve the appearance of sun damage, fine lines, stretch marks, melasma, and mild scars, making it a popular option for those seeking a rejuvenated look without going under the knife.
