Tom Cruise's body odor may have ended recent romances but he is 'totally in denial', claims source
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tom Cruise seems to be 'totally in denial' of his body odor and is not bothered about addressing it, an insider has revealed.
Cruise has been known to sweat through his shirts over the years and recently he was spotted with major pit stains as he cheered on Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, per Radar Online.
Tom Cruise 'doing nothing' to address body odor
A source said, "Tom seems to be totally in denial. He's always been a pretty sweaty guy, but lately, it seems to have gotten even worse – and he's doing nothing to address it!"
The source added, "He'll be out and be totally drenched and not seem to even notice, but of course the people around him are quite taken aback."
Insiders also mentioned that the actor's bad body odor could be a reason for his rumored romance with Hayley Atwell and Russian socialite Elsina Khayrova coming to an end.
The source stated, "To be fair, his sweat baths happen more in hot and humid places, but at this point in his life he should know it's going to happen and just come prepared."
The insider added, "He could bring a change of clothes and a towel and maybe some spray deodorant too – because he can get mighty pungent when he goes hours on end in a soaked shirt."
The source also said, "He's Tom Cruise, so no one is going to tell him to his face, but people do comment about it and question why he doesn't invest in some Botox under the armpits. Word is, it can be very effective in reducing underarm sweating. But he seems perfectly fine with dripping sweat. It's like he's oblivious."
Tom Cruise has few true friends
A source, who has worked directly with the actor, claimed that Tom Cruise has few true friends as his work ethic has put him in a different league and nobody can match his enthusiasm or commitment.
The source told In Touch Weekly, "Let’s be real here, Tom lives for the business of being a global movie star, and it’s not exactly ‘work’ for him because he goes at it like a 24/7 lifestyle choice."
"He literally has no friends who can keep pace with him, and that’s all been exacerbated this summer as he finally puts Mission: Impossible 8 to bed and can move onto other projects," the source added.
The insider also said, "He only socializes with the moguls and other A-listers to further his movie ambitions, and it’s pretty clear when you spend any stretch of time with him that he’s a lonely guy and would rather be off shooting a mega stunt than pretending he likes his downtime."
