LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In an exclusive interview on 'The Alex Marlow Show' podcast with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow, released on Saturday, October 11, Tom Homan, the border czar of President Donald Trump, called on California Governor Gavin Newsom and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker to thank Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

He said that ICE had removed illegal, violent immigrants from their states.

“You’re welcome because ICE has taken thousands and thousands of public safety threats off the streets of California,” Homan said, addressing Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, both of whom have criticized ICE's actions.

During the interview, Tom Homan called out Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who recently signed an executive order banning ICE agents from using city land to carry out their enforcement operations.

On October 6, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson signed the "ICE Free Zone" executive order, which established guidelines preventing federal immigration agents from using any city-owned property for their ongoing operations in the city.

The order builds on the "Protecting Chicago" initiative that invites local businesses and community organizations to join the citywide efforts to safeguard communities.

The measures were implemented with the aim of limiting the activities of the federal immigration authorities.

Johnson said, "With this Executive Order, Chicago stands firm in protecting the constitutional rights of our residents and immigrant communities and upholding our democracy."

The executive order was signed after ICE agents were allegedly attacked by protesters in Chicago on October 4. The agents were on routine patrol in Chicago’s South Side when they were supposedly rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars.

The agents were then trapped and surrounded by the protestors, waiting for help from the local cops.

Chicago officers were initially prepared to help the agents, but were allegedly told to hold back by the chief of patrol, according to a dispatch recording.

Although the Chicago Police Department has denied these claims, two senior Chicago police sources say otherwise.
