LOS ANGELES. CALIFORNIA: On Monday, February 5, political commentator Tomi Lahren took to Twitter to express her frustration with what she deemed as 'so-called Republicans' falling into the Democrats' trap regarding a border bill.

Lahren's tweet highlighted her discontent with the notion that Republicans were being deceived into supporting legislation that she claimed codified illegal immigration under the guise of accomplishment.

Tomi Lahren questions logic behind border bill

"I am so sick of so-called Republicans going to DC to sell us out. The Democrats really tricked you into believing you should sign a border bill that codifies illegal immigration and pass that off as an accomplishment? Are you freaking kidding me?!!! Hold the freaking line!!!" Lahren exclaimed in her tweet.

According to Lahren, the Democrats had strategically shifted the narrative to make it appear that a border bill was necessary for securing the nation's borders. However, she argued that this was a false premise, asserting that former President Trump had effectively addressed border security during his tenure, working closely with Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

"The Democrats have moved the goalpost once again. First, they are making us believe we need a border bill to secure our border. We don’t. Trump did it himself (working closely with Border Patrol and ICE)," Lahren pointed out in her tweet.

Moreover, Lahren accused the Democrats of introducing the border bill not out of a genuine concern for national security but rather as a strategic move ahead of the election.

"Second, Democrats are only doing this to throw Joe a lifeline on immigration. Hold the freaking line!!" Lahren emphasized in her tweet, reiterating her call for steadfastness among Republicans in the face of what she viewed as a political maneuver by the opposing party.

Internet reacts to border bill controversy

Amidst the controversy surrounding the border bill, social media has become a platform for impassioned voices expressing their opinions on the matter. Users are taking to Twitter to voice their concerns and frustrations, reflecting a diverse range of perspectives within the conservative community.

One user wrote, "Republicans need to do their job and shut down the government until the border is closed. Hold the line. Follow if you agree."

Another added, "The senator from OK needs to be voted out of office for touting this bill."

One replied, "Joe Mansion thought he was a great negotiator too."

Someone else commented, "The Uniparty aligns on antiwhitism while bickering about small potatoes."

Another replied, "When 95% of elect d politicians go toWashington and immediately sell out their constituents, is the problem with the politicians or the system?"
