Tony Danza opens up about his romantic relationship with co-star Marilu Henner during ‘Taxi’ cast reunion
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tony Danza joined his ‘Taxi’ co-stars Carol Kane, Danny DeVito, Christopher Lloyd, and Judd Hirsch on ‘The View’ to mark the show's 45th anniversary.
During the conversation, the 72-year-old talked about his first Hollywood girlfriend Marilu Henner. "I walked in and I saw six guys and her. Even if it wasn't six guys, it would have been her," he quipped.
"The problem is you don't want your girlfriend to have a great memory. ... 'Don't you remember?' Of course she does! She remembers everything, and so it's just not something you want," he added.
Tony Danza and Marilu Henner's love-affair didn't last long
However, their romantic relationship didn’t last long, but the two always stayed in touch as great friends. Marilu earlier told People, "Tony [Danza] and I had a hot little thing right away. I knew the first day we met something was going to happen."
"We talk all the time. Sometimes when a relationship ends, it's hard not to look back and think, 'I'd like to stay close.' I never stopped caring about people I once loved," she said.

She also talked about her relationship with the ‘Pulp Fiction’ star John Travolta. "Johnny [Travolta] and I connected instantly. We met when we were both in Grease and dated on and off for about 13 years. We always stayed friends," she said.
Danza and Henner still regularly meet in person, as Danza shared one such instance. “Danny [DeVito] and Marilu were here doing a play in New York. Chris was in town. Carol [Kane] lives here so I see her a lot. Judd [Hirsch], is the most energetic ... I don't know how old he is," Danza said then, adding "He's incredible. In fact, he put together the get together on 'The View.'”

Whoopi Goldberg on 'Taxi' cast reunion episode
The show’s co-host Whoopi Goldberg shared previously about Hirsch's enthusiasm to be there for the 45th anniversary celebration episode.
“He called, he said listen, we are all gonna be in town. It’s the 45th anniversary, and we’re all in town because we’re seeing Danny’s show on Broadway. Could you get us on The View? We should get on 'The View',” she said on an episode of ‘The View: Behind the Table’ podcast, as per People.
The 68-year-old added, “We do really fun stuff on this show. It seems sometimes, I think to us, because we talk about a lot of things going on in the world. But every so often we do something fabulous and out there. And this was fabulous and out there.”
