Jeremy Clarkson shares details of cancer diagnosis and treatment plans

During an episode, Clarkson told farm consultant Charlie Ireland and assistant Kaleb Cooper, “I’ve got cancer.” When Cooper questioned him further, he declined to discuss the location of the disease, saying, “Where it is is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.”

He then explained that he had recently visited a doctor and undergone a biopsy. Following the procedure, he learned that he had an “aggressive” cancer. Despite the seriousness of the diagnosis, he noted that it had been identified at a very early stage.

The presenter also spoke about how the timing of the diagnosis affected his plans on the farm. He explained that he had hoped to complete the harvest before beginning treatment. However, he acknowledged that the medical procedures would take place during a critical period of farm work.

“I was praying we could get the harvest done, and then I could go and get some treatment, but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle,” Clarkson said. He also discussed the treatment process with his friends, explaining that he expected to undergo surgery within a matter of weeks.

He also noted that the operation itself would be relatively quick, but recovery would take longer, leaving him temporarily unable to carry out his normal activities.
