Tory Lanez's wife Raina Chassagne seeks sole custody of son in divorce after less than a year of marriage

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Disgraced rapper Tory Lanez’s wife, Raina Chassagne, has filed for divorce after being married for less than a year.

According to documents obtained by TMZ on June 10, Raina Chassagne, 29, filed for divorce last week, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the separation. Chassagne has requested sole legal and physical custody of their 7-year-old son, Kai.

Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, in the feet during the summer of 2020 in the Hollywood Hills.

Gascon commended the Grammy winner "for her incredible bravery and vulnerability as she underwent months of probing investigation and court appearances, during which she had to relive her trauma, and the public scrutiny that followed."

As per People, during that time, Megan, 29, shared a statement read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta.

She said, "I struggle with being present. After everything that occurred I cannot bring myself back to being in the same room with Tory,” the Houston native wrote in part. “I’ve been tormented and terrorized.”

According to Megan, Lanez "paid bloggers to disseminate false information, he treated my trauma like a joke when I could’ve been dead. He blamed the system, he blamed the press, and as of late he is using his childhood trauma to justify his actions.”

In Chassagne’s filing, she does not request spousal support but instead reserves it for future determination at the discretion of the court. "No such assets or debts" were listed for the former couple regarding separate or quasi-community property.

Several social media users trolled Lanez, with an Instagram user saying, "He tried to marry her for staying in US." 

Another user said, "He deserves this." A user said, "Lol who even knew he was married." 

A user said, "All that drama from a married man." A user said, "So he got framed for shooting Meg in the foot, because he was messing around with 2 females friends...but was married whole time?!?! Woah." 

Another user said, "He married her for the wrong reasons ANYWAY!!!!" A user said, "I'm lost I was today years old didn't know he was married now I'm really confused."
