Travis Kelce subjected to 'subtle jabs' by guest stars Natasha Leggero and Ron Funches
Speaking about his experience collaborating with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Ron Funches told US Weekly, "There are certainly some Taylor Swift fans [on the show]. There’s some subtle jabs and jokes and references towards him, to see if we can get him to fully commit or not."
"We certainly were jabbing him. He just kind of took them and gave us some back. He was really good," added the comedian.
Funches further shared that one of his "favorite things" from the game show's recording was when Kelce dismissed attempts at flirtation. "One of my favorite things I actually saw, and I don’t want to use it as a spoiler, but, occasionally, some people tried to hit on him," said the 'Undateable' actor.
He continued, "Him shutting that down was really sweet and really nice to see. You can tell he’s in it with her [Swift]."
Swift was rumored to have visited the show's set, but Funches was unable to confirm or refute the rumors. He remarked, "We may or may not have heard whispers that she came by. I did not see her, but I did hear whispers."
Leggero, for her part, praised Kelce and told US Weekly that the footballer was "standing on his own" on set. However, she pointed out that comedian Nikki Glaser was unable to contain her Swiftie love.
"I think she was incredibly nervous just to be in the presence of him," shared Leggero.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are 'committed and serious about their future'
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made their romance official in September 2023. Since then, the two have been supporting one another, with the pop star going to several Kansas City Chiefs matches and the NFL star being spotted in the audience at different Eras Tour performances.
An insider told US Weekly, "Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future. Taylor is ready for the next era of her life. She knows it will be special."
According to another source, Swift and Kelce are "on the same page" regarding their desire to "settle down" soon.
The insider said of the power couple, "They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later. And they both want kids. Taylor has always [been excited by] the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now."
The source said of the 'Lover' hitmaker, "She’s looking forward to taking a break and relaxing. She’s exhausted," adding that "the plan for 2025" is to concentrate on her relationship and herself.
According to reports, Kelce has even "dropped hints to those close to him" that he has considered popping the question. The two are currently savoring Swift's last free days before she embarks on the final leg of her Eras Tour in Miami, Florida.
They decided to make the most of their time off during the Kansas City Chiefs' bye week. The pair even headed to Yankee Stadium on Monday, October 14, to catch the New York Yankees vs Cleveland Guardians MLB American League Championship game.
