LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce recently revealed that he "hasn’t considered retirement" from NFL and added that "it didn’t cross my mind one bit".

The Chiefs star's bother Jason retired from the NFL in March 2024 after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He also won a Super Bowl in 2018. The Kelce brother played together for many years in the NFL, with Travis now in his 12th season.

The 34-year-old athlete, who is also dating pop singer Taylor Swift, won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in February 2024 and has accompanied the pop icon to many of her concerts, per Page Six.

During an appearance on the 'Rich Eisen Show', Kelce said, "It didn’t cross my mind one bit. I think the excitement of the challenge of this year, being able to maybe do it a third time in a row — I think that alone was all I needed. That was an instant thought, so there was really not a chance in hell that I wasn’t coming back this year."

He also said that he is following the advice of former NFL star Julian Edelman. Kelce said, "He was mentioning, you know, he had to hang it up when he couldn’t go out there and practice, he couldn’t get out there and work on his craft to feel like he’s accountable for the guys next to him, and that’s when he kind of started questioning it."

He added, "I’m just having so much fun, you know, just so appreciative and so fortunate that I’ve been able to come into year 12 and still have this energy and this love and the ability to go out there and get to work."

Travis Kelce's legal team steps in as fake PR 'contract' surfaces online

Travis Kelce's legal team stepped in as a fake PR "contract" surfaced online claiming to detail the exact date of his supposed breakup with Taylor Swift.

The fake document, which appeared to be from the Los Angeles-based PR firm Full Scope, stated that the high-profile relationship was nothing more than a staged affair, and would end on September 28, 2024, per The Daily Mail.

Kelce’s team were quick to dismiss the document as fake and denied any plans for a breakup. The fake "strategy" mentioned in the document had a scripted statement that would have been released three days after the supposed split and emphasized a respectful and mutual decision to part ways.

The fake paperwork mentioned plans to release an official statement framing the split as a natural progression in their lives, focusing on Kelce's personal growth and career.

PR firm Full Scope denies involvement

PR firm Full Scope has denied any connection to the fake document. The firm's spokesperson said that the paperwork was "entirely false and fabricated," and also confirmed that they have engaged legal counsel to pursue those responsible for the same.

Notably, Kelce's publicist, Jack Ketsoyan, has earlier admitted to orchestrating "showmances" in Hollywood. They are staged relationships designed to generate publicity for celebrities.

Ketsoyan revealed in a 2019 podcast that these kinds of arrangements are used to boost the profile of a celebrity or to divert people's attention from less favorable news.

Ketsoyan said in 2019, "It's to be able to sell the hype of it – whether a concert, album or getting people to go to see the movie, it all about the hype at the moment."
