Kelce, described as the "most extroverted guy Taylor has dated in forever" by the inside source, is changing the dynamics of Swift's love life. Unlike past relationships, Swift and Kelce are not shying away from public displays of affection.
This openness is a notable departure from her previous romance with actor Joe Alwyn, known for being conducted under a cloak of secrecy.
“If Taylor wants to change the lyrics to her song after four months of dating and sing in front of 60,000 people … Travis will stand there beaming for the crowd — he’s digging it,” said the source.
This was a reference to the singer's November 13 show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when she altered the lyrics to her song ‘Karma’, singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” while the Chiefs player was present in the crowd.
“Taylor finally has a partner willing and game,” the source said. “He’s like, ‘I’ll stand by the side of the stage and wait for you to jump in my arms — I’ll do that!'”
In April, news surfaced that Swift's six-year romance with British actor Alwyn had come to an end. The duo, who had been living together in London, found solace in each other during the Covid lockdown, collaborating on songs that later found a place in Swift's acclaimed pandemic albums, 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'.
A source close to Swift claimed, “Taylor is so in love. She just hasn’t been with a guy who is so excited and proud to be with her in so long. She’d gotten used to having to hide away and lay low whenever she’s been in a relationship.”
The insider further added, “Now she’s finally with someone who is appropriately like, ‘Holy s**t, I’m with Taylor Swift! Awesome!’ and she’s so delighted that she gets to be out in the world."
Insights from Time’s 2023 Person of the Year Interview
In a candid interview with Time Magazine after being named Person of the Year by them, Taylor Swift delved into various aspects of her life, shedding light on past feuds and her newfound love with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift revealed the unconventional beginning of her romance with Kelce, describing what she believed was an adorable start. According to Swift, "This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.”
Swift emphasized the significance of a public relationship, highlighting that being public means witnessing each other's passions and showing up for one another.
Swift also noted, “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care … The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
