LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce, the celebrated NFL star and highest-paid tight end, has expressed his ambitions to transition into acting, generating a flurry of reactions across the internet.

Known for his dynamic presence on the football field, Kelce recently shared his excitement about seeking movie roles during an episode of the 'New Heights' podcast with his brother Jason.

Kelce, who is currently involved in Ryan Murphy's FX series 'Grotesquerie', revealed that he's actively looking for opportunities in films, as per Daily Mail. "I'm looking for movie deals."

"I'll do anything in the movie. I'll be a part of it any way I possibly can," he said excitedly.

Travis Kelce also addressed rumors about his potential involvement in the upcoming sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 comedy 'Happy Gilmore'.

'Whoa! Is that true?'' Jason asked Travis.

The Chiefs star responded, "I didn't even know there was a job opening for 'Happy Gilmore 2', but if there is, I'll be a f***ing extra."

Travis, who has been spotted wearing a 'Happy Gilmore' hat in public, added, "Anything to be around 'Happy Gilmore' or an Adam Sandler film or set. Count me in. I've always been a huge fan of the Sandman."

In March 2023, Kelce hosted 'Saturday Night Live' for the first time. He also starred in 'Catching Kelce', a reality dating series, in 2016. The NFL star has landed his first acting job with a role in Ryan Murphy's 'Grotesquerie' alongside Niecy Nash-Betts.

In a podcast episode last month, he expressed his surprise at not being "fired" from the show yet. "It’s been such a blast," Travis shared with Jason.

"I feel like a jabroni, like a total amateur, but I haven’t been let go yet. They haven't told me to f**king kick rocks after the first week," he added.

"Everyone has been incredibly supportive, helping me feel at ease and providing the guidance and coaching I need to play this role. I'm just taking it one scene at a time, making sure I remember my lines... I'm very much an amateur at this."

Travis Kelce's acting aspirations and his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift have elicited strong reactions from critics.

Many users doubt Kelce's acting potential, with one user bluntly stating, "He is not going to be a good actor for sure."

Some critics believe Kelce's relationship with Taylor Swift is more about gaining publicity than genuine affection. A user commented, "Does 'do anything' involve dating Taylor??? Run Tay and don't look back...he's just using you."

Others are concerned that Kelce's ambitions might be driven by ego. "Aren't there professional actors for these roles? Why him? His ego is going a bit berserk," wrote one user, while another remarked, "For a few years he desperately tried to meet TS & was even at her shows before. Very thirsty behavior."

"Can’t stand being overshadowed by her," commented one user.
