Travis Kelce spent ‘hours’ comforting Taylor Swift over phone after foiled Vienna Eras Tour terror attack
VIENNA, AUSTRIA: NFL player Travis Kelce reportedly panicked and has been concerned about his pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift following a foiled terrorist attack during one of her Eras Tour concerts in Vienna, Austria.
According to sources, Kelce continues to be there for Swift when she needs him. He comforted her over the phone for "hours" on Wednesday, August 7, after her Eras Tour dates in Austria were postponed because of terrorist attack threats

Travis Kelce consoles Taylor Swift amid foiled Eras Tour terror attack
Ernst Happel Stadium was the target of suspected terrorist attacks where Taylor Swift was scheduled to perform three gigs there starting on Thursday, August 8.
Swift's events in Austria were canceled due to the seriousness of the threat, which resulted in the arrest of three people in connection with the terror plot.
Representatives stated that it was devastating for the singer to postpone the three Vienna performances, among the final ones of the Eras Tour's European leg.
A person close to Travis Kelce's entourage claimed that he was in touch with the pop diva over phone following the incident.
"Travis contacted Taylor very fast and talked with her for a while to show support and see how she was feeling with that tense situation," a source told The Sun.
The source continued: "He has one of his phones always right next to him when he goes to sleep in case she needs to talk to him, and they did spend some long hours on the phone yesterday as it’s not a common situation to deal with, and he always wants to be Taylor’s rock and best fan and number one supporter whatever happens."
"He was feeling relieved that the concerts got canceled, as it’s the best decision to be taken in this kind of context."
Despite Swift's safety after the terror threats, Kelce was prepared to immediately fly across the Atlantic for her. He was prepared to give all up to help Swift get through the terrifying circumstance, even if training camp was in full swing.
"He even suggested flying to Austria to be there for her if she wanted him to do so, even if it was for a day or two, but Taylor is going to keep working and focus on the next dates, with the London concert, to wrap up the Euro part in the best way," the source added.
"That was a bit of a crisis moment because you never know how to deal with that, and having the concerts canceled isn’t common or frequent at all, as this kind of situation with a terrorist threat is very scary and has to be taken seriously to keep everyone safe."
Taylor Swift can always reach Travis Kelce on his phone
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift spent the majority of the summer together after he finished the NFL season, following her around Europe for the Eras Tour.
However, he was thousands of miles away when the terror plot was discovered since he had just come home for an NFL training camp. Sources claimed that despite their distance, Kelce always has his phone ready for Swift when she needs him.
"It’s not easy to deal with that distance, and he wants to be very supportive and [let her know] that she can count on him," the source said.
"You can tell that he was helping her feel better and made her laugh, to make this situation and the day she went through end up on a more fun note."
The source added: "He always wants to make her laugh, and he loves to hear her laugh and feel good. After a day that intense and this scary situation, he was doing everything to make her feel better."
Swift is trying to put the event behind her after taking a few days off following the Vienna incident and returning to London to wrap up the European leg of the Eras Tour.
The multi-Grammy-winning singer has been working hard to make sure the rest of her tour is exactly as thrilling as it was before the terror threats, despite the shock, per those close to her crew.
"The news has been kind of a shock for the whole team, as everyone was looking forward to those concerts in Austria as they are in the last part of the Eras Tour in Europe," the source previously said.
"There was a huge excitement to play in such a historical city, but also a big disappointment to have to cancel those shows."
Terror conspiracy targeting Taylor Swift's Eras Tour
After discovering the Islamic State propaganda during a house raid, police detained a 19-year-old man and two younger people on suspicion of plotting a suicide bombing at one of Taylor Swift's three scheduled concerts in Vienna.
According to local outlet Kurier, the suspects allegedly had complete plans to launch a mass attack on the stadium's anticipated 65,000 spectators, as well as the chemical and biological materials needed to make a "dirty bomb".
Authorities stated that the second suspect, a 17-year-old, had material affiliated with Al-Qaida and the Islamic State group, per Daily Mail.
The suspect—who has declined to comment thus far—was working a few days ago at the music venue for a business that offered unidentified services.
According to investigators, the primary suspect admitted that he had begun organizing the attack in July. Only a few weeks ago, the 19-year-old posted an oath of fealty to the current commander of the Islamic State organization online.
Swift has not publicly addressed the news as of yet. Her four-month European tour comes to an end next week with five gigs scheduled for August 15–20 at London's Wembley Stadium, which organizers assure will still go ahead.
