Travis Kelce expresses gratitude to Niecy Nash for discretion in his relationship with Taylor Swift
"Let me tell you about people who text me about Travis. They all started off saying, you know, 'We're watching the thing. Is he the killer?' Just to get you — just to get you on the line texting them. And then they like, 'Well, what do you know about his relationship?'" Nash-Betts shared, with Jason Kelce humorously chiming in that the conversation often turns intrusive.
"Exactly. You know how it goes," Jason responded.
"I'm like, man, get off that man's business," Nash-Betts remarked as Travis laughed. "I'm a vault. I don't say nothing."
Travis said to her, "You're a real one," to which Nash added, "You won't get anything out of me. I mean, y'all just being nosy. Don't ask me nothing."
Travis Kelce took a moment to express his gratitude for Nash’s unwavering loyalty.
"I appreciate you always. And every time someone that has a mic in front of you, (they) always ask you something like that. Thank you for always showing love. You know it's real, and you know that me and Tay are absolutely happy. And I appreciate you always making sure that everybody knows that. So thank you."
"Honey, I mind my black business. You understand me? I'm staying over here, more worried about myself and what I got going," Nash replied, prompting Travis to say, "You're the best."
Niecy Nash praises Travis Kelce's acting debut in FX thriller 'Grotesquerie'
Niecy Nash has been effusive in her praise for Travis Kelce’s performance in the FX thriller series 'Grotesquerie', which marks the NFL star's first venture into scripted television. Although she has refrained from commenting on his romantic relationship with a well-known pop star, Nash was quick to highlight Kelce’s receptive and open attitude while filming.
In an interview with PEOPLE, Nash shared, "He was very open on if there was a note given or a suggestion given. So amenable. 'Tell me what I don't know. Tell me what your thought is on this.' I love that he didn't come in trying to act like, 'I know everything and I know it all.'"
Kelce's presence was hard to miss, even amidst the production's hustle and bustle. Nash noted the enthusiastic reactions from crew members, particularly the male staff, who were visibly excited to work alongside the Super Bowl champion.
"It was funny because I saw people's reaction to him before I really could take him in. All the guys — these big guys on the set, the grips, transpo — everybody was just fangirling all the way. And I'm like, 'Oh my god, guys!'” she said with a chuckle.
Fans can watch the season finale of 'Grotesquerie' airing Wednesday, October 30, at 10 pm ET/PT on FX, where Kelce continues to display his talent in a fresh arena.
