LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: NFL star Travis Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, is making headlines with his recent revelations about receiving a lifetime ban on X (formerly Twitter).

In a Facebook post, Ed detailed his activities on X before the supposed ban, revealing that he had inadvertently posted something contrary to the social media platform's rules, which led to his lifetime ban.

This follows the release of a humorous Garage Beer commercial featuring Ed, his older son, Jason Kelce, and a cardboard cutout of his younger son, Travis, after the brothers revealed their role as part owners of the Cincinnati-based beer brand on a June episode of their 'New Heights' podcast.

In his Facebook post, Ed Kelce clarified that he was not very active on Facebook or Instagram. He explained that he primarily used Google alerts to receive notifications about articles mentioning his sons, which he then posted on Facebook for friends and family.

He wrote, "Let me try and clear something up here. I'm rarely on Facebook or Instagram. I get Google alerts in my email about articles mentioning the boys and remotely post them to Facebook for friends and family to see."

Ed admitted that he had posted about arms dealers on X (formerly Twitter) out of frustration with Elon Musk's trolls, noting, "I posted the thing about arms dealers active on X because frankly, I was p***ed at Elon's trolls."

He added, "I rarely wrote anything on X; I just followed sports reporters. It's handy during games to hear what those guys have to say, particularly at stadiums where you don' have commentators the way you do watching on TV."

Ed also mentioned that while he had been active on X from September to February, he did not post anything that would have violated the platform's rules.

The tight end's father asserted, "I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading others' posts. Apparently the X Twits believe I posted something contrary to their rules in May or June 2023."

He concluded by saying, "Never happened. I'm guessing I was hacked, as the platform isn't all that secure. My comments when I started this conversation were merely to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media turds."
