Karoline Leavitt began working for Donald Trump in January 2024, serving as his national press secretary during his election campaign. She was later appointed by Trump as White House Press Secretary, becoming the youngest person ever to hold the role.

In January 2025, just days before Trump’s second inauguration, Leavitt married 59-year-old real estate developer Nicholas Riccio.

Trump publicly praised Leavitt in March 2025, addressing concerns about her age.

“They said, 'sir, sir, she's just too young.' And I said, I don't know about that. She did awfully good because she did it during the campaign, and she was awfully good. She's been amazing. She just did another one just a little while ago,” he said. Referring to her age, he added, “How old are you? 27, right? You’re not too young. She’s knocking ’em dead.”
