WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump stated that he "lost by a whisker" in the 2020 presidential election just days after asserting that he had "every right" to meddle with the results in his interview with Fox News' Mark Levin.

The former president reiterated that the election "was a fraud" during a 45-minute conversation with well-known podcaster Lex Fridman, made public on Tuesday, August 3, but conceded that he did lose the contest.

Donald Trump pivots to election loss when asked about forthcoming debate

When Lex Fridman questioned Donald Trump about how he would manage his forthcoming debate against Kamala Harris, the Republican presidential nominee gave him a drawn-out response.

"So I’ve done a lot of debating, only as a politician. I never debated. My first debate was the Rosie O'Donnell debate, right? The famous Rosie O’Donnell Debate. The answer," said the MAGA spearhead, as per Independent

He was presumably alluding to the August 2015 presidential primary debate, in which Megyn Kelly, the moderator, began a question by saying, "You've called women you don't like, 'fat pigs', 'dogs', 'slobs', and 'disgusting animals.'" Trump quickly interrupted her, and said, "Only Rosie O'Donnell."

The former Fox News host, referencing further disparaging comments made by Trump, asked him, "Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?"

He scoffed off the nation's stance on "political correctness" and said he didn't have time for Kelly's question.

Talking to Fridman, Trump further said, "But I’ve done well with debates. I became president, and then the second time I got millions more votes than I got the first time. I was told if I got 63 million … you would win. You can’t not win. And I got millions of more votes than that and lost by a whisker but— and look at what happened with the world."

He predicted a third World War as he concluded his rambling response.

Donald Trump reiterates false voter fraud claims about 2020 election

A few minutes later, Donald Trump made even more misleading statements in response to Lex Fridman's question on what he would like to say to independent voters who are "troubled" by his allegations of widespread voter fraud and the "false elector scheme" aimed to overturn the results in favor of President Joe Biden.

The GOP nominee responded, "I think the fraud was on the other side," adding, "I think the election was a fraud, and many people felt it was that, and they wanted answers. And when you can’t challenge an election, you have to be able to challenge it, otherwise it’s going to get worse, not better."

Trump erroneously claimed that millions of immigrants who are ineligible to vote were casting ballots, and advocated for mandatory voter ID laws, the sole use of paper ballots, and same-day voting with proof of citizenship

"They just came in and they’re loading up the payrolls. They’re loading up everything, claimed the former president, before accusing immigrants of "taking seats of people who are citizens of our country."

Trump's interview on Fridman's podcast is the most recent in a series of unconfrontational appearances on programs run by well-known right-wing YouTubers, influencers, and streamers who target young males.

He previously made appearances on streams hosted by comedian Theo Von, Logan Paul, the Nelk Boys, and Adin Ross, who gifted the ex-POTUS a Tesla Cybertruck wrapped in a viral picture from his attempted assassination.

Internet voices strong support for Donald Trump after Lex Fridman interview

The former president received resounding support from netizens after his most recent interview with prominent podcaster Lex Fridman.

One wrote, "Kamala is finished. Another win for Trump—at least he’s not afraid to speak to anyone," and another remarked, "Lex, America is excited to vote for Trump. He is the only hope for America,"

"If Kamala gets her way, podcasts like this will become illegal," claimed a person, with someone else saying, "Vote for President Trump in November like your life depends on it because it does."

One more expressed, "Thank you for having these revolutionary conversations! Mainstream media is out. Content creators like Lex are the future! Never has a presidential candidate been so accessible outside the political class. Ironically, no candidate has ever been as unavailable as Kamala…"
